But they don't talk about metering in that article.

Maybe the 5Dmk3 metering is lousier than 6D due to light leak issue :dunno:
or perhaps the metering of 6D now support spot metering on the peripheral AF point? any 6D owner can confirm on this?

The latter one wouldn't have anything to do with accuracy.

If you go to this page and add 5Dmk3 camera as a comparison, you can see the "Metering & focus accuracy" of 5Dmk3 bar is lower than 6D.

lol, I can draw you some random bars too. They don't even mention on what they are based on. Don't take reviews without references so seriously. The worst thing you can do is to judge and buy a camera based on reviews.

I see. i thought it has..
If peripheral AF points don't support spot metering it would not meter properly if you select one of the peripheral point with spot metering, right? (yap i know you can workaround it by using exposure lock button before you fire a shot)

It depends on your definition of "properly". :) It does meter properly because you can't expect the camera to do something it can't do. If the specifications say in spot mode it will always meter in the center and the camera does that perfectly, the camera meters properly. All it tells you is that there is a feature missing but not that it's broken.

Thus could this "missing feature" be one of the parameter of the measurement? :)

Hi Guys,

Just wondering, other than inbox Camera CD that comes with 6D, what are the other programs that you are currently using and would recommend for RAW processing for Canon 6D?
