Under custom function: AF point direct selection.

Setting that cfn, you can use the 8way pad after pressing the shutter half way.

Unfortunately, it does not allow for selecting center/all using the set button, to be able to do that, you still need the af point selection button.

Is this true?

You could use the "8 ways pad" to select center focus, just like selecting any of the focus point. The center set button provide a quick switching between full AF points and Center focus point which I found very convenient for me. Hope it helps...

Here you go. It's all part of growth pains. :bsmilie:

Thanks for the link, but I feel that the L series of premium lenses, should still be made in Japan, while the cheaper glasses may be shifted outside Japan.

Better buy lenses made now before they're all made in Taiwan!

Firstly, Taiwan QC is VERY VERY good. That is why their semiconductor industry booms while Singapore wanes.

Secondly, the article states Canon plans to "move all production lines of single-lens digital cameras to the Jiayi plant at the end of this year (2012)." So, we expect all Canon DSLRs to be slapped with Made in Taiwan sticker at some point.

Still a sucker for country of origin effect:D

I will expect canon to still retain the made in japan tag for their professional bodies.

Hi ricleo, that was beautiful , may I know what setting you used for this shot? :)

U should try it with ure camera..I always use from iso 100 to 400...smallest aperture ..focus to infinity...I use bulb mode from about 1 to 3secs..if u want u can use manual and set to 2secs..need practise to get the timing right ...n always be safe..

used bulb mode, aperture at 11-13, and iso 100 hehe...exposures about 30-40 seconds to catch more lightning bolts.
