I'm in Hong Kong now and was quoted HK$14500 credit card price for a local set for 6D body from a reputable shop. So tempted as it's only abt S$2300...
Would you consider it a good deal?
Yes just get it!

Nice customisation. D.I.Y?

Ha no lobang la. Traded my 5d3 with a bro and got some cash back in return on top of the 6d![]()

hmmm, what will it you will miss when switching to 6D? I know it's not the weight of the mk3 that you will miss ;p
Enjoying the smaller size and lighter weight right now. I can fit my 6d with one lens mounted and 2 lenses beside comfortably in a billingham Alice L2 finally. Was always a squeeze with the 5d3.
Definitely miss the faster fps and AF points of the 5D3 hehe.
But the AF accuracy of the 6D is very good too. Much better den my old 5D2 and 7D.
However I seem to find the high iso performance on the 6D marginally worse den the 5D3. Thought it was suppose to be the other way round.
Can't comment on 5D3 files. But comparing 1DX (and I know 1DX raw files definitely rival or exceed 5D3 raw files) vs 6D files, both are equal contenders in the high ISO category. As I sort through my recent travel photos, sometimes I can't even tell if it's a 1DX or 6D raw file. It's only the location that that serves as a reminder of which camera I used to capture the scene.
And that's primarily because the 6D is such a silent camera, it has helped me capture shots in situations where the 1DX will be impossible to shoot with. (And vice versa)
I'll do a travel thread soon once I'm done with both Paris and London. I haven't touched London's part yet even
And oh yes, nice custom work on your 6. Beautiful.
looking fwd to your travel thread.
Your images of paris was one of the reasons why i was "swayed" towards to 6D as well![]()
