Is the offer still on? Still free lens?

b)now canon 650d comes with free flash wireless remote etc ...seems quite a good deal ..tk photo selling 1020 for 18-55mm package

thinking of the following ....need advise

a) buy 18-55mm canon 650d at $1020 with all the free gift
b) buy canon 650d at $880 body only and get another lens e.g 18-135mm or 18-200mm lens
c) wait for nikon d5200

camera mainly used for travel , potrait and landscape photography

thanks for advise

Sorry free flash... typo...

Canon SG 650D promo

look at the right column.

basically, what promo Canon SG offers, retailer also offer the same. after all, they get their sets from Canon SG itself.

once u purchase from a retailer, u have to bring your receipt and your warranty card over to Canon SG at harbourfront, not vivocity, to redeem the free gift. the retailers won't give u the free 270ex on the spot.

650D or any other camera can be use for travel, portrait and landscape. even the D5200 can do all three. need only different lenses.

no 1 lens can do all.
you take some and you give some.
iirc, 18-135 STM, good for videos. 18-200mm, good for travel, versatile.
landscape, usually use UWA lens.
but try out the lens first. who knows what u can achieve even without using L lens.

for me, i recently purchased 24-105L to suit my needs. got it at a bargain price. below 24mm, can just use leg zoom. i personally dun think i need up to 200mm.

can go bankrupt on buying lens alone.
still learning this camera and all the camera functions. so slowly take my time.

Hi guys what's the better lense to upgrade after the kit lense of 18-55? I take more of macro and scenery shots. Looking to upgrade after playing with the 650D but looking to upgrade my current lense already. Thanks!

Keep using your current gear, when you reach the limits of your kit lens, you will know what to go for.......

And it's a lens, not a lense.

no 1 lens can do it. said it before.
have to give and take.
for macro - Canon EF 100mm f2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens - hybrid IS.
for scenery, if u mean landscape, use wide angle lens. for APS-C format, any range below 35mm is considered wide angle.
recommended efs 17-55 f2.8. good usable range and f2.8! lightning fast focus speed.

Anyone has comment about the 18-135 STM? Is it a sharp lens wide open?

What's the usual lens that wedding photographers use during the event and dinner? Photos look great and I think could be good addition. I don't see them changing lens. Thanks

Mainly angle zoom ie 17-40mm or 24-70 f/2.8. They mostly have two bodies

Look harder, most of them have 2 or more bodies.
Although it's more common for them to have 2 bodies.

Some solely use the 24-70mm f/2.8, some use a combination of the 24-70mm f/2.8 and some prime (24mm/35mm/50mm/85mm/105mm/135mm), some use 2 primes...
