Think price has dropped a bit compared to launch. I paid $4250 the day BEFORE official launch. No chance of bargain at all.
Now is like 4.1k?
$4.25k on day -1? Pretty good...

is 5d3 still have light leak like this ?
if use a lens, is it still like that ??
This issue was fixed by the manufacturer several months ago. It is no longer relevant.
Nor is it relevant even if your camera has the problem. Mine is part of the so-called affected batch but I have never been affected by it because I actually shoot with my lens.
Well, you would have to pay GST if you ship it to Singapore. I actually got mine from Fredmiranda.com. I don't really think the cam will be damaged. I bought a 30D about 4 years ago from FM as well and it was shipped here with no problem.![]()

that is only $150 drop from march to dec now. its nothing as we are talking about electronics.
Found this deal online. Only US$2679! But it looks dodgy to me.. so I didn't buy.
Canon EOS 5D Mark III - Body Only
Because this camera is so shitty that if I don't put a lens on it, the photos come out like crap!
want to ask - canon sg price drop is always linearly gradual over its lifetime or is it a sharp drop at specific unpredictable interval?
if its linearly gradual, im thinking that buying 5dm3 or 6D anytime is okay.
if its sharp drop at specific time, better wait
LOL. That's a good one. :bsmilie: I think this light leak issue has been way overblown. All the newbies and wannabies are just scared silly by something that has no impact on real world photography. We can thank the idiotic anti-Canon Korean guy for stirring up this pot.
I believe Canon Sg prices tend to fall gradually. Thom Hogan has hinted there will be a massive price cut for Nikon stuff starting Dec 15th. Maybe Canon will follow suit. No guarantee that Canon Sg will respond though.

I wonder why this genius thinks it's going to happen on the 15th...
