I only called CP for reference, haven't called other shops.

The lowest you can get is j3:16 which is 4050
I asked all stores at Funan.. Others quote around 4139..
Cathay is 2nd lowest..

Can't blame you excitement over the 5DMKIII is too much to bear :)

Absolutely agree.. I moved from d7000.. Definitely another level for me.. Getting used with the setting.. But love the wheel.. So much easier to scroll!

Just a curious question... why did you not upgrade to the D800 especially if you had an inventory of Nikon glass?

Color, contrast, image quality, noise, etc. From online review and comparison, specs are very similar except AF points and wifi and GPS in 6D. Considering to buy either model. Need feedback.

In my view, the IQ of both are so close it is not a differentiating factor. The main differences lie in the specs which you pointed out already. I swopped my 5D3 for a 6D as I wanted a smaller n lighter body for travel n the ability to change the focusing screen. I can live with the lower fps n the 6D AF is good enough for me most of the time.

As I'm shooting portrait, I likes canon soft approach.. Which makes me easier to post-process the picture..
36mp will kill my RAM and harddisk.. 80mb files took too much spaces..
Since I'm shooting event too, 5dm3 AF is faster and more accurate..
Another one is, for job purpose.. Hahaha..

What do you mean by "canon's soft approach"?

For Nikon, detail is everything! The sharpness is amazing..
But when I shoot portrait, too sharp gives me more work to do..
Like unwanted blemishes.. Soft veins..

With canon, it is sharp but not as sharp as Nikon..
I can shoot and print in spot giving others soft picture..
Which reduce my workload

When you are referring to Nikon sharpness, are you talking about the entire range of Nikon products or specifically the D800 and D800E?

This is nonsense.
I've been using Nikon for 1-2 year, now switch back to Canon.
And i find your statement is totally invalid.

Then why did you move back to canon?
That's my experience using nikon for a year..

Local grey set with shop warranty is selling between $3500-3656 while our neighours are lower than that. HK's grey set is around $3200++ after conversion.

Singapore Canon's price is really over priced above $4000.

Grey sets are of course much cheaper coz only the shops serve the warranty.
I don't mind the price difference knowing that it's under Canon's warranty. Bought mine for $4425.00 with grip.

Definitely, the camera isn't worth $4k.

I had some issue with nikon flash, fed up with it because even NSC cant solve it.
And I prefer canon's red tone.
