Well I don't think there's any brand loyalty really. Blind brand loyalty sounds silly. It's always what the product has to offer to you and whether money is an issue to you

Nowadays it's more like Lens Loyalty, especially when you've invested in many primes...

I was trying to find out more about in-camera corrections for different Canon lenses on the 5D3 but lack of success so far. So nothing's conclusive.

But if this feature is really working- I guess it will make me appreciate the switch to Canon more.

Any bro seeing marked improvement for their Canon lenses on the 5D3- especially for the supposedly weak wide-angle non L ones?

Yes I've seen image quality improvements when shooting a lens on 5D3 over 5D2. The most apparent is the CA and vignetting control.

With the newer metering system, then images also turn out better exposed.

Kinetic82, I doubt it work because my 866mkii go crazy on 5d3( work perfectly on 5d2), the Ettl doesnt work ... Is so lucky I check before I go for my event shoot otherwise I'm in trouble
FYI, if anyone using manual lens with adaptor that come with focus confirmation chip.. it doesn't work on 5d3 too... I might be wrong but mine doesn't work...

always refer to the manufacturer's compatibility chart and see if firmware needs upgrade.

according to compatibility chart, it say it's compatible. contact them for assistance then:

Damm....i have a di866 mk1 and a di622 mk2.....and aiming to buy 5d3.....looks like i really got to consider cost for an additional flash....nissin better work on an update

but nissin has a new flash: MG 8000, can burn 1000 full power flash without tio hey siao :bsmilie:

...but i think they work on BOTH since both my raws and jpgs look the same so i guess the correction also affects RAW data.
