Visited CSC two days ago for some other reason. Checked with the counter staff if light leak service started. They said yes and according to the staff, customer have started sending for servicing. I am not sure how far it is true. Lead time is seven working days it seems. Wondering why they take that long to perform this work. Is it not their responsibility to act faster for correcting their own manufacturing fault?

Let me ask you this, would rather they do the job properly and take the time to ensure it's fixed or just rush the job and do a half-assed job? Also, if you not happy with the time, why not raise to them directly since you were there? Why bother coming to this forum and complain, where your 'concern' may not be heard?

Usually the time for completion is shorter compared to the time that they tell you.

You are right. Thanks.

For those already collected their fixed light leak 5d mk3 camera, any complained so far regarding reassembling. I probably send mine near to warranty expiring, .....maybe.

I'm getting it soon, suppose the light leak issue fixed right?
Would be it a gathering for 5DM3 users, we can share the joy

Everyone is waiting for responses from those who already sent theirs in.
Seems like no one has mention anything yet. I am also interested in sending in soon.

Im also curious if anyone has send in. I'm just not sure if it's necessary or is it really a very big issue. That's my curiosity.

I'm guessing most folks are like me: it's not affecting my day to day shooting so I don't feel the need to have someone open up my camera and put in more tape.
