Can anyone share the experience in processing 5D3 raw image in Ps with Adobe camera raw 6.7 RC? Dark shades of 100% crop the image shows a lot of color noise and it looks same as the color noise seen in FM review. DPP does not have this problem at all and raw image is very clean. I think, PS's ability to handle 5D3's raw image is questionable. Did FM's review use PS with camera raw 6.7 RC to handle 5D3's raw image that caused the color noise issue?
I think PS CS5 has already got raw plugin for D 800 whereas plugin support for 5D3 is still at RC stage which may not be reliable.

To share abit... Taken with the 24-205...

anyone who know vivacity canon show room got 5d3 to demonstrate?

If I'm not mistaken, the vicocity show room has it. But you must ask the staff at the counter to let you try it

Finally i got some mis- focused images.
I just notice that my 24-105 USM focusing motor took a "longer" time to focus ........ When body battery power is very very low (blinking). I do not have this "issue" before on 5dmk2, or maybe I forgotten about it.

anyone can post up some pic of m3 + sigma 85mm?
Just a small request. Hope we can write 5D Mark III as 5D3, 5dmiii, or it's full name instead of misleading terms like:

- m3 (Leica)
- D3 (Nikon)
- Mark III (1D/1Ds)

I know this is a Canon forum, but the above will make it easier for readers to understand your post.

Does this happen with lenses that has got IS? I tried it with my 24-70 and doesnt seem to have the same issue. Yet to pair it with 70-200 yet.

Currently Adobe’s raw converters are all in beta! Hence their performance are not up to scratch. I’ve experienced some banding pushing past +1 EV in Lightroom 4.1 RC. So I’m gonna wait for the final update before I fully integrate 5D3 into my workflow.

New firmware ?

Canon U.S.A. : Consumer & Home Office : EOS 5D Mark III
Firmware
Firmware Version 1.1.2 incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

1. Supports a new accessory, GPS receiver GP-E2.
2. Fixes a phenomenon where a pink cast may develop over the image when the shutter is completely pressed with the camera’s power turned off (by the auto power off setting).
3. Fixes a phenomenon where the camera operation stops after one shot when shooting in High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode.
4. Fixes a phenomenon where the Shooting Date/Time in the EXIF data of the image shows a later time than the actual shooting time.
5. Fixes the time zone for the Samoa Islands.
6. Corrects errors in the Finnish menu screen.

From CR? In any case, doesn't seems to have any major changes.. But I din read the full list either. CR also posted about the light leak findings by Canon USA.

So canon is still working on the light leak issue.

offical from Canon USA

So canon is still working on the light leak issue.

Firstly, it only affects products whose serial numbers have 1 or 2 in the sixth digit. Secondly, they'll help fix the problem free-of-charge for Korean measurebators/trolls.

They didn't say fix..they said inspect only but they also said this problem doesn't affect the picture output...so end of story
