I saw your post of the same question in DP-Review. This is a good question especially for people sitting on the sidelines waiting to buy. We all want the best camera for our hard earned cash. Whether the light leak is a minor issue or not, it is best to have this problem resolved with an internal design modification.

Unfortunately no replies so far. It seems nobody knows how Canon fixed in later batches.

remove your main LCD screen, buy the GSS (comes in a set of top and main LCD)

Get generic one from Daiso for $2. Just cut to size.

You can get it at the Peninsular Shopping Center, it's in between Funan and Peninsular Plaza. The shop is deep inside at a corner, called MyMonsterCamera

I bought GGS (not GSS) from Orient photo, Sim Lim 6th floor.

I'm using GGS too, not bad..bought from Artworkfoto. Will get one for my 1DX, just collect my 1DX today, can't wait to shoot and compare with my 5D3

Thanks roDz. Behind all this gear..there's a lot responbility and hardship too..wanted to get myself this two cam( or just 5D3) much early but hv to settle my son U school fees ( NTU 4 yrs fees can buy 3 1DX..lol) left over.. that is the budget for the dad ... Haha
And my business is very bad for the last whole year, it start to pick up again and I hv more " mood" to shoot..so consider getting a "big" present for my 50 bday gift, even I not 50 yet (but soon...)..haha
