Nope, don't feel safe there :p

Just notice that it doesn't support my non-L lens.
Firmware first or perform EOS utiltity lens update first ? or latest DPP first ... ?
Does firmware update overwrite the lens support for IN-body Peripheral Illumination/Chromatic Aberration/Distortion Correction database ?

Not that I would call it overwrite or doesn't support. I guess you didn't know that most of EF and EF-S lens are actually supported. All you have to do is connect your cam to your PC, launch EOS Utility, and go to the list of lens installed in your cam. IIRC your cam can only store up to 40 lens only. Note that lens that are compatible with extenders, that lens+extender combination is considered as 1 lens itself. Go play around with it to know more :)

Took some pictures in KL before I had to hand over my camera to my friend so that I can concentrate on my duties.

All shot with a 50mm f1.8. Made me a very happy man.

Hi guys... I finally gave in to my temptations and got myself a 5dmkiii. im now a happy and broke man =)

ill be shooting in a concert this weekend so ill see how it performs then.. =)

Just got a third party MkIII battery grip from Artworkfoto. Not sure if it's really magnesium alloy or engineering plastic but the body feels very solidly built. I have tried it with my 70-200 f2.8 mounted and I can't detect any flaws in the construction. It does come with the multi-controller and M-Fn button, as with the original grip.

Price? Ask them yourselves :D But as a gauge, I will be getting a couple of used original LP-E6s with the money I saved and still have money left over.

Is it noticeably heavier with the grip?

To me, it's a slight increase but not 'OMFG MY WRISTS WILL BE GONE BY THE END OF THE DAY to me' kind. The grip does have some heft to it alone though.

The grip gives the thuck thuck sound when you flick it, just a higher than the bodies, compared to the tick tick when you flick plastic.

got peekture?

Wot brand is it?

Is of the Pixel brand. Surprisingly, the thing that goes into the battery cavity seems to be made of the same material as the rest of the grip!

haha I also just got myself a third-party grip today too.. seems the stock is just in for many shops. I got mine from SGCamerastore Hercules brand =) looks exactly like dodgethis's so i guess theres no need to post more pics =)

Come to think of it, 5D3 + BG + 50 f1.8 or 50 f1.4 looks good and nifty..
