Objective VS Subjective. Those people-fans with subjective always got strong emotions, such as passion, hate, enjoy, happy, etc. some people talk objectively here are not always welcomed. Having a personal attack means you have already lose your mind.

However, time and truth will tell us, no need to argue anymore.

People do as what they believe, and defend the belief persistently, it is subjective.

Since you say no need to argue anymore, which is correct, then pray tell, why do u still keep posting senseless crap like this? Too free? Get a life man!

This ranking link is quite pointless. And definitely OT.

I am enjoying holidays, however, I am afraid you have much more free time stay here to speak more "sensible" words.;)

knock. it. off.

final warning. there has been too much crap/bitching abt 5D3.

Hmm... my set do have the light leak issue even thought my serial fall under affected list. Strange. anyone have the same issue as me ? haha or rather not a issue.

the light issue is very hard to replicate. i tried several times but couldnt get it to work. lol i shld feel happy rite.

anyway i realise i have to put it in quite dark places with my lens cap attach to replicate that light leak issue.

what i can say is, this light leak issue is too trivial to begin with. virtually doesnt affect anything. tried in day shots and night shots.

but i guess when products are popular like ipad, any slight issue will be taken advantage of to make news. like the heat issue of the new ipad.

news sensationalism at its best.

testing on iso 800, you should able to see the different :)

shall wait for new user to comment on their flawless 5dm3. lol

Lol...in our tiny island, more 5d mark iii were sold on launch weekend than d800 was sold from launch till now. Does it make the d800 a much worse camera? Of course not.

Toyota probably sell more cars in a month than Rolls Royce will in a decade...

Sure. Just as the beliefs of a troll like yourself are subjective.

When you persistently talked about the pricing of 5D3 being US$500 more than the D800, you were told OBJECTIVELY the opposite is true in Singapore: the D800 is about US$100 MORE than the 5D3. Yet, you refuse to accept this OBJECTIVE TRUTH and persist to troll in this forum.

Can't some moderator put a permanent ban on this troll?

PS: Anyway, I must admit I like your link. Saves me the trouble of searching over many sites for the same info. But it does not say very much. The fact is Canon still has ~ 45% of worldwide market for cameras with interchangeable lenses while Nikon has ~ 30%. These numbers have not changed much over the years.

This is avery interesting test…it's a known fact that below ISO800, the D800 will trump over any camera in the market..everyoen knows that..that's why it makes such a good studio/landscape camera…above ISO800..i'll take the 5D3 any day.

However, what i'm more interested in this graph is not the DR on high ISO…it proves one thing that i've always believed in, the 5D3 (or any Canon camera for that matter), performs at it's best at ISO160! Just look at the results..ISO50 and 100 wasn't as good at 160…unlike Nikons that perform well at ISO50…
It's surprising how close the 5D3 is to the D4…

sometimes is all about the scene that you are shooting. DR is not a factor for me cause photo shop will compensate that if it lacks... but without good af system.. it is really hard to use photoshop to make it perfect.

That's also my concern :) but anyway it's just less than S$10 so i just give it a try.. who knows the quality not bad. We'll see

have u received the Screen protector yet? how is it?

To Users of the Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR Camera (Change of Displayed Exposure Value in LCD Panel)

Thank you for using Canon products.

Concerning the EOS 5D Mark III digital SLR camera, when the LCD panel illuminates in extremely dark environments, the displayed exposure value may change. Canon has decided on our service policy to address this phenomenon, so we would like to inform you of the details as described below.

Phenomenon
In extreme dark environments* when the LCD panel illuminates, the displayed exposure value may change. However, when shooting with a lens attached, this change in exposure value may not significantly affect the shooting results.

* Some examples of a dark environment are as follows:
1. When the body cap is attached
2. When the lens cap is attached

Affected Product
Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR camera

* Products whose sixth digit in the serial number is 1 or 2 are affected. For example, "xxxxx1xxxxxx" or "xxxxx2xxxxxx" ([x] represents either of the optional number.)

Support
When shooting with a lens attached, this phenomenon might not significantly affect the shooting results. However service will be provided to customers upon request from May 17 to address this issue. Please contact your nearest service center if you have any queries.

Hi

just wondering whether the new batches with the sixth digit starting with "3" or above are already in the Singapore market - can any recent owner confirm this? Thinking of purchasing one but would rather get one that is already been rectified at source rather than return to the service centre, since i'm in no hurry..... thanks!

best regards

Seriously, I can't replicate the light leak issue. My 5D3 is a xxxxx1xxxxxx series.
Any bros with affected 5D3 face any "real world" shooting isues? So far no issues for me.
Will be great if some one can feedback in this forum.
