Will try my best.
After playing around with the camera, I don't see myself getting the BG-E11 because it has that multicontroller built in. For one, the 'Q' and set buttons are a tad far away. My thumb seems able to reach over over easily to touch them simulating my hand in the vertical grip's position but I'm used to turning over the camera (550D with grip) to change my settings anyway. There is word that the OEM makers are in process of making pocket friendly version so I'll probably wait for those.
but build wise, confirm lose to Canon.
When I was with my 5D2, I initially chosen 3rd party BG for the cheap price point. But really, it's no good if your set up is heavy. First, it doesn't give you a safe feel when you hold it vertically - a light cheap plastic grip holding a 2kg or so body + lens? Doesn't seem to be a good idea. Also, I've noticed that the screw isn't as sturdy or as good as Canon's - it feels really cheap and loose, and yes, the screw gets loose more easily than Canon's
The battery compartment door was kind of loosely fit too, sometimes when you hold it vertically, you can feel that the "door" is moving a little.
Eventually, I sold it off in less than a week and bought Canon's.
