took 1800 shots tonight, and battery went down by slightly more than half.
taken at ISO 1600.

btw anyone getting batteries and cf card for the cam?

i could only get a pricing of 110 for the lp-e6.

Any other option? I intend to buy another LP-e6

You took 1800 shots on the Canon 5D Mk3 on a single battery?

Some more it is 1800 shots with only 50% of the battery capacity? What freaking battery is that? The LP-e6? It's that awesome?

Could it be shooting in a smaller files?
I guess file size might affect battery stamina.

I am guessing lots of high burst shots, less LCD usage n non-IS lens.

Just spotted - 5D3 on sale at changi airport T3 duty-free for S$4391. Not cheap considering no GST.

70-200 is ii with is turned on. Did not use lcd much. Shot in mraw. Noise reduction all off. Alo & htp on.

If you can wait, consider ordering from amazon or B&H, n ship to Singapore using vpost if the international postage quoted by those sites are high.

Anyone out there has this problem..or maybe it's not a problem but a feature.
But i realised the half press shutter focus lock only works if i use the center focus point ONLY.
If i set to use the center 9 or anything else, it continuously tries to refocus the moment i shift, even with the shutter half pressed…i wonder why...

The auto sensor cleaning on switch on/off is totally quiet and discreet. Manually activate sensor cleaning(the self shake function, not manual cleaning function), the camera will make a few tia tia tia sound?

Yes that's perfectly normal. Similar for 5D2 also.

Thanks. Last time my 50d only a very soft high pitch yik yik yik sound. This morning tried sensor cleaning on the 5d, the sound scared me, thought the sensor come loose liao:bsmilie:

Anyone experience the mkiii auto refocus even if you don't half press the shutter... Whenever I move the camera it seems to change the metering reading. It's set to oneshot mode. Is this normal?

Auto refocus=no.

Auto metering=yes. Normal for canon.
