Now, u all know why canon don't put IS in 24-70 mk2. Because there is no need to ! Just pump up shutter speed with iso can already.

Still looking for lens replacement for my 17-55.. Haha..

5D3 at ISO 12,800 in dim light. 135mm at F2, 1/40 sec. 100% crop may not be pin sharp, but entire image looks very usable in low light levels

you can see from the 100% crop that the light in my living room was switched off, with the light in by dining room on only. dining room light is 10 metres away from my cat.

with the 5D2, the max iso i wld go was 3200, now with the mark 3, perhaps even F4/5.6 lenses are perfectly useable in low light.

My experience with 5D3 ISO 12,800 isn't as clean.

Todays Digital Life section reports its cheaper to buy cameras in Hong Kong. True for canon and especially 5DMkIII as well?

Hahaha..... with such good ISO... who need f/1.4/2.8 lens........

you know something... tripod manufacturers gonna sweat soon...

What if you have the huge primes and 5D3? You've got endless shooting opportunities and you can no longer blame the equipment nor the location for missing shots! :bsmilie:

<5? It was sold out last weekend! Where did all the rest of the 5D3s go? :bsmilie:

Well I saw the Guy in front of me buy 3 kits while waiting for my turn and I saw another Guy buy 2 while I was at TK on sat to get some miscellaneous stuff.

So that's about 5 sets although I don't know if they are members here :P

haha....not just TK carries stock, SLR, Alan, Cathay all carried some stocks on saturday, just to name a few

what's the drawback to the Mk3 silent mode?

if there is none, then we should just keep it on silent mode all the time...

Anyone know roughly when the grip will be available in the shops?

but I believe all went out of stock.. Alan Photo opened at 10:30am on Saturday, and the last kit set was dismantled and solded around 10:45am. :bsmilie:

Any other feedback about battery life??
Does the camera sucks a lot of battery?

After a few days use, should be able to gauge the battery life?

Mine is ok. I checked it in my 5d3 info, says ' 253 shots, 70% remaining'
