Nope, all shops got instalment plans. But need to pay a 3-5% fee. If you add that up, still cheaper than Courts by about $200.

Haha SLR rev only provide 2year plan. Need to find other shops that provides 3years

I am curious whey Canon didn't offer their extended warranty for 5D3. When I register the online warranty, it says N.A. for extended warranty..

3yrs should be okay ba since the life cycle is around there

Life cycle is one thing, but if you commit so much money and live on credit is pretty dangerous..... part of financial planning.... and being prudent....

Of course I believe a DSLR life span should be 4-5 yrs at least.....

Wisely said! Best not to buy with credit people, unless you already have the cash to fully pay it up. Financial prudence.. :)

When I went to one of the shops to inquire, the price he gave me more for a grey was a bit WTF and I felt better off buy a local set for a bit more.

Those big departmental stores like courts do offer up to 48mths but their price is not cheap, its just like interest added in.
Same goes for other smaller shops, their price is cheaper but if pay by installment, will have extra charges.i feel that it better to pay in full.so far I haven't know of any shop that will absorb the interest for installment.

I guess those grey sets will price their price reasonably sooner or later as right now the price not stable yet.market lack of stocks and a lot of people wants to buy,Ofcourse they will try to carrot.

Have been shooting brids with 60D, 70-200 F4L IS and EC1.4, now with 5D3 I have a problem finding a suitable super telephoto lens for birding without breaking my back, 4 kg is max in my bag. I am keeping my 60D for the time being. Bro any suggestions. Tripod is out of the question as I travel and cannot bring heavy equipment. No problem waiting as I have busted my budget this year.

monopod and stick with your 70-200?
For birding, i believe you will need at least a 300mm..and the 70-200f4 is already the lightest you're going to find :) Dont think you will be able to find another lighter and better tele for the mk3 :) That's the price to pay for a better camera..you get backaches all the time haha..

100-400 IS L USM or 75-300 IS L USM with EC 1.4?
