That's all? No compartments to store spare batt or sth? :bsmilie:
Pardon my noob qns.
But odyssey saw the original one for $199..
lol, let me know again...Yeap, $199 cash payment for the original Canon BG. I saw it at Tampines One, there's a shop selling cameras.. mp3s.. clothes i think .. not too sure.. I wonder whether if i throw $195 cash on the table and they will let me have it ? But their 50mm f/1.8 is not quite a good price tho.. i can get it $120 at SLR Revo, maybe I can try throwing $115 cash on their table whether they can give it to me ?
I agree! although i dont have a point for comparison, i think color reproduction is really great. I would just like to note though, i once used my boss' D90 and it can capture a blue sky quite easily (what i mean by blue sky is that it's bluer than the pic i shot). i'm a bit envious on that part because i cant do that on my 550D. maybe its a user issue (w/c is me.haha) care to share how to make skies bluer in the picture?
What you need is just a GND filter. Natural or Blue.yeah the d90 takes nicer skies. but u can do that too in photoshop. lol...for someone like me who doesnt shoot in raw...the camera's in-built color reproduction is damn impt. i'll wait for d90s then see how. originally d90 was my choice of camera....but then no stock, so went to 50D...den now 550D...lol. how to make your skies bluer? switch your picture style to landscape mode. anyway nikon's trick to doing that is up-ing the saturation and having a default blue tint.
@blueacidic
you can store two batts in the battery grip. Aside from the shutter button, there are also controls like a dial, focus/zoom button and AE lock. Try to google images of it to get an idea :cheers:
3rd Party battery grip should be priced less than $130 from my source.
i assume 3rd party battery grip will not come with complete built-in function as original canon grip
ah.. I just received my GSS from my ebayexactly 10days

Hello fellow 550D mates, would like to clarify if there's any issue with standard kit lens 18-55mm, which causes distortion like this and unable to capture straight lines?
Please review the link HERE, as stated by another CS-er.

1) I will use my S5 IS with external flash at 1/30 shutter speed at F2.7 or 10-22mm lens, set Aperature at F8 and shoot with fill-in flash.
2) Use 10-22mm at 10mm, tell ur subject to stand more than 1 meter away from camera, then shoot. This lens focus at infinity from 1m onwards
3) Use a polariser.
U will need to get Canon EF-S 10-22 to get max DOF when DSLR. Oh yeah, a tripod too.
Settings under Custom Function C.Fn-2, ISO Expansion, ON (page 192 of manual).
