A lowepro FastPack250 Backpack. Where I can put my textbooks in the bag also.
When shooting events, I load 2 DSLRs into this bag.

i should be getting a crumpler bag...wonder which should i buy The Brazillion Dollar Home,
7 Million Dollar Home or 6 Million Dollar Home. any advice?

Ordered my first dslr through priviledge program, $1429 for KIT 2!! Happy...

Kindly elaborate on this "priviledge programme"? Intend to get a 550D too. Any freebies? Tks

ermm...I had called in to inquire this program couple of days ago..what I was being told was that I have to send in a faulty camera for repair and if the repair fee is too high, and I decided to give it a miss, the technician will then advise on this program and give u a quote on the new camera that u are interested in..i wonder if this is the standard practice or diff customer service have diff way of saying..:dunno:

mine is this one that u mentioned...anyway,i am not to bother as i'm still new to this photography world..;)
Congrats man...70-300mm IS USM is a very good lens. Image Quality is almost "L" quality. It is only slower Aperture, MicroUSM, non-weather sealing and missing Fluorite element made it didn't achieve the L status.

ANY Canon camera, working or non working will do. Once you are at the service center they could not care less. If it's a working one, feel free to drop it on the tiled floor at the lift area :bsmilie:

Yeah... this lens is difficult to use... unless you are in very bright situation...

Not sharp at 300mm either, unless F8.
Tried this lens with my 350D vs S5 IS at 432mm. My compact is sharper.

Hehe, saving up for the 70-200 Mark 2
That lens is super heavy.
I might be aiming 70-200mm F4 L in the future if Tamron/Sigma come out 28-75mm VC or 24-70mm OS F2.8 against the up-coming 24-70mm L.

As for now, my setup is 10-22mm, 28-75mm F2.8 and Tokina 50-135mm F2.8 as well as an extra 50mm F1.8.

This lens cannot compare lah... they are different league.

Personally I dont like tele lens... my longest is 135mm. ;p

OOF blur for 135mm F2.8 head shot on 1.6x crop is quite creamy for me.

went down to canon showroom today.....550D + 18-135 was in the showroom. i tried it out. tested the surrounding AF points and focusing speed. it's pretty fast wad. cldn't tell the difference between it and my 50D. and u guys shld know the DSLR portion at the back is poorly lighted. so i haf to say 550D is both thumbs up! its better than 50D in terms of IQ. the video is gorgeous too. my fren on the d90 was impressed with canon and wished nikon was so strong in the consumer market too. haha! he even said that if he had never ventured to nikon as his first dslr....he wld haf gotten the 550D right there and then. haha! so...those ppl with 550D, lucky you! im thinking of getting one myself soon. oh man, this BBB thing has to stop. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

U better test in low light to confirm that. If in showroom, and cannot lock focus fast, that product is considered a fail.

I have issues when shooting at night due to cannot lock focus. Using on-board flash to strobe will scare my subject away. So need to attach an external flash and shoot slow sync.

BBB virus seems very strong here...
As you know, the only medicine is called 550D :bsmilie:

yes u are right. im getting the 550D so that i can use kit lens and not feel ashame of it! haha, i hate being compared to the posers on the streets who use the xxxD + kit lens den anyhow spam shots and camwhore, but no choice. i need the $$$ now. even sold my precious 17-40...sighs. photography gotta take the backseat. so going to consumer-level. if got money in future i may just get the 15-85. its a good lens...but too pricey.

Anyone interested in getting this screen protector? I believe this is one of the closest.
http://cameras-photo.shop.ebay.com....1313&_odkw=3.4+screen+protector&_osacat=43445
Canon 550D screen (including black border) = 50mm x 70mm (a fellow 550Dian measured)
This protector: 67.5mm x 50mm
We will be missing 2.5mm on the wide side.

Then we organize a 550D outing while sharing this. lolx
