The size of your polarizer filter should be same as your lens because you are mounting it on your lens. If you have the kit lens 18 - 135 then you should buy a 67mm polarizer filter. If you have 3 lens like me which has all different lens size and you want to have a polarizing effect for all these 3 lens then you need to buy 3 different sized polarizer filter.

Thanks for info. I have the EF S55-250 IS lens & EF S18-55 IS lens, so I should be getting the 58mm per the filter size right ? Me new to DSLR pardon the questions.

You need a 52mm for your EF S55-250 and a 58mm for your EF S18-55 IS.

Check this out. It states the filter size you need.

For me personally, I just get the polarizer for my wide angle.

You can also get one for the largest lens you have and use step up rings on lens with smaller diameter..

I only hv 77mm CPL n the rest is step up ring

Just in case you don't know, the reason why people generally get step up rings instead of step down is because there might be vignetting for the latter.

What is the highest ISO you had used?

Result?

I have used before all the way until H(12800) before but honestly in my opinion it's not usable. So far the usable ones i get out of is ISO 1600.

1600...looks good...I don't see any noise...did you need to "activate" noise reduction in your pp?

Hi people! I'm just another 550D user joining the group here. :)

I didn't PP much for this photo, only did a little color management. I did however activate the in-camera noise reduction though. I put it to strong.

What kind of photography are you in to? Street? Landscape? Birding? Macro? Portrait? Etc. Etc. Outdoor photography is too general.

If i were to answer your qns now like this i will say any body will do, any lens will do.
