Official Canon 550D User Thread Part IV

no need to shoot in burst mode, just need to make sure there is enough overlapping between your shots so that the software can stitch the photos up accurately.

makes sure your exposure is spot on though.

oic. but if i wanna shoot panorama shot how shall i do abt it ah? currently i only have 18-135mm lens. (:
you can stitch photos with the software "hugin". its free, and it automatically selects the control points for you.

regarding tecnica's comment, you'll want a bit of overlap between shots because with the 18-135mm lens will not be sharp corner-to-corner (at some focal lengths, and especially at the wider apertures).

thanks for those help i got from your guys. thanks so much. btw, can i ask your guys how u actaully play video such that foe example from 0:00 to 1:00 is slow motion and from 1:00 to 2:00 is fast forward and after 2:00 is normal speed play? lolx. don't how to explain clearly. hope your guys understand. (:

can easily be done. i did it in a very layman way but taking a 20min time lapse and then condense(fast forward literally) into 10+s only, the reverse it true for the walking scene.

0:34 min onwards.

how u actually do that? u using 1080 25fps full hd? what software did you actually use? (: and also, how you actually play around with the focusing of far object while keeping the near object blurry, then after awhile you blur the far object and make the near object sharp? (:

yeah, i took everything on 1080p@25fps, processed with corel videostudio pro x3.

for the focusing, you have to do it manually and practice until you get the hang of it.

corel videostudio pro x3 is it a free software? or does it come with canon 550d? (:

corel videostudio pro x3 is not free, nor does it come with the 550d.

Hi all..

I need some help here. I realise that there is a green dot in the photos that i took recently. The green dot appear on the same place on all the photos.

Is this dot due the lens or due to the sensor problem? Anyone facing this problem?

Try using different lens so that you will know whether it is from your lens or sensor.

If you can still see the dot then most probably in your camera body not in the lens.

Try the pixel remapping method. It works for me :)

It should be gone for good :)

Good lah bro. Peace of mind best :)

Wow now you guys talk about it.. i went to try.
There really is a white spot when i take a black photo.
When i zoom in though, it shows the transparent squares similar to those in photoshop.

What kind of pixel is that? :bsmilie:

Edit:
Tried 30 secs with 100 ISO and yea there is a few red dots with the same transparent square in the photo.
Don't think its gonna affect me much though.
