Official Canon 550D User Thread Part III

I have the 18-270mm and am loving it! check the reviews! It is a tad heavy for the 550D though. If you're too close and need to use flash, the lens barrel will cast a shadow on your subject. IS is fantastic and a must have! Auto focusing in low light is quite a challenge and you need to learn some special techniques in getting it focused.

i bought the digi cab DB-36 at MS Color for $115.... the young sales guy told me is with moodlight one... then i go back realized its no moodlight one... :(

HeHe, What size are you buying? Think of getting one maybe by two at the same time got discount?

As mentioned above.. getting the 30L one.
Might be going down to MS Color to check it out on monday. =D

By the way, any 550D users going for the big walk tml?
I am going and bring my 550 out. hopefully can take some nice pictures. =x
 

hey guys i juz wanna conduct a sample poll among us 550D users.

if u were selling a lens at BnS, u close a deal with a buyer who is willing to pay ur listed price. will u back out and sell to a guy who offers u $20-$30 more? (i know $50++ most ppl cant resist and will juz sell to the highest bidder)

u think for yourself. Is the $30 worth your reputation? next time, if you were to sell something again, people might not trust u anymore. but if really alot more money, i will sell to highest bidder lol;)
 

u might want to check back with the previous buyer and if his response is positive, then just go ahead with the highest bid.

Just my 2 cent worth of comment.

Personally I would not recommend that.

If you intended to sell to the highest, right upfront, indicate as "Bidding from S$XXXX" with a closing date and perhaps a BNP.

Otherwise not very professional. I had encounter one who list a deal and I agree to the price, then he replied the current bid is S$30 more than what is listed (where there is no mention of bidding in the first place) and I tell him nevermind them. Later I understand that the "higest bidder" has back out.

yea i am in the same situation. nt very pleasant but hey.. ppl juz wanna make those extra bucks right?

You don't have to use a remote to activate. Try switching to 'Manual' mode on your camera, adjust shutter speed to the slowest, you'll get 'bulb'.
