The fuuny thing is, i not bring this camera for the concert :sweat:. Will be bringing my Sony H7 + 1.7X magnification lens for videoing.

wow ok din know tokina made lenses... thought they make filters only.. but still thats alot of equipment. eh i agree u wun be enjoying the concert, i film concerts before. if ur subject keep moving is very taxing, have to keep tracking so u will be watching ur concert frm the screen instead of in person

Not trying to be mean, but I guess 90% of your time of your travel, you will be using just 550D and kit lens. The rest of items are too specific for their intended usage, certainly you won't have time to meddle with them during these fast pace concerts and holidays.

I would say you should get a 18-200lens instead.

totally agree, went to redang recently.. the need to switch btw 55-250 and 18-55 was very annoying esp with the sand being kicked up

Since you obviously have budget to get decent stuff, I suggest you upgrade the filter on your kit lens. Although your objective is only lens protection, the filter also affects the light reaching the camera sensor, and a multicoated filter will give you better results than a cheap filter in certain lighting conditions. Or to put it another way, a cheap filter will degrade your image quality more than a multicoated filter.

If you think that it is not cost effective to buy an expensive filter for a cheap lens, another approach is just don't bother with a filter on the kit lens at all. Then there will be no image degradation.

mine was pendrive class 4 (if they give u class 2 tell them to... kill themselves) eos bag is a normal sling bag can fit 1 body 3 lenses (CANNOT fit 70-200) maximum is a 55-250

hi everyone i'd juz like to direct everyone at this thread, its worth commenting on considering its singapore's first attempt at an action blockbuster. at the rate this film is going i do not intend to catch it in the cinema.. failure... i think they shld hv used a dslr to film, the color and IQ would be better. juz look at all the films produced by independent filmmakers using dslr. if we can find ppl and sponsors maybe we can shoot a film too? lol all shot on canon 550D :bsmilie: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6239789#post6239789

Have been doing it in Sammi hongkong concert 2010, Sammi genting concert 2010, Sammi Singapore concert 2010 and now Sammi Taiwan concert 2010. I am not a Sammi fan but they are, i just tack along.

Everyone can try this trick, use you compact DSLR and viewfinder only for videoing and no marshal will stop you. if you use the LCD screen, in less that a min you will be asked to stop. And Of couse you will not enjoy the show.

huh u can shoot video with ur viewfinder?! i dont think u can do that on 550D... i like that trick too

Yes, i have thought of that. Initial thought of buying Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II LD Aspherical [IF] macro but no one is selling this in clubsnap. and getting a new one will cost around $700 i guess. Anyone wants to sell this lens to me?

seems like Sigma AF 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG macro is also quite good, but no one in clubsnap is selling this too.

i bet ur sister really love them everywhere they go they bring u along plus concert ticket, i hope also plus air fare and hotel

well use video camcod is better than ur viewfinder. Ur 550d not so powerful to record the concert, u will not have good some effect from there.
