why 24-70 now. i getting 17-55. i read other forums and people adviced on 17-55 if its a cropped body.

depends on your need, 17-55 EF-S can not be use in FF body. I dont want to resell it if i am upgarding to FF in future.. better get EF, better resell value.. 24-70 is heavy thou

anyone know any accessories to close the flash hot shoe in 550d body? something like rubber to close it?

AND KNNCCB!! I just found out my 550D LCD has a coupe of bright pixels and a dead pixel!!! ARGHHHHH~!

That what i scare too. I check for bright pixels and a dead pixel when I purchase it. But it is tough too. Anyway i mainly use the viewfinder.

Hi all,

I just managed to this "old" CANON FD 2,8 28MM WIDE ANGLE LENS.

I understand that we could use a CANON EOS TO FD CONVERTER LENS ADAPTER to convert it with use for Canon EOS camera.

Anyone has any experience with it? Need some advice before I buy the adapter.

LOL thats wayyyy overbudget for me and for most of us (i guess)... even i find the 550D batt grip ex hoping it will drop to like $80 or smth. i actually dun mind 2nd hand but hv to wait for 600D to come out b4 ppl will start selling 2nd hand

If you don't mind 3rd party 550D batt grip like Phottix, try getting one on eBay. It is about S$80.

You are not the same my friend. I'd always thought that a cheap $80 Tripod is enough for me. I started off with a cheap $79 Weifeng Tripod. But after shooting and shooting landscape, I feel that my tripod isn't stable at times, heavy.. and the ball head sucks..

End up I sold my Weifeng tripod away and got a Sirui T2204X Carbon Fibre tripod. That's it, I am not going to upgrade my tripod, as I feel its stable enough and light enough to carry around..

Thanks for the recommendation, initially I wanted to get a cheap Tripod to test it out. Maybe I will consider the Sirui T2204X Carbon Fibre tripod.

what i did was take the picture with manual focus and the lens cap still attached.. it will produced black image, zoom in and see around.. after that take out the lens cap, shot the av wider aperture to white or paper and zoom it again.. but off course, our eyes could fail us

on budget ? get the Weifeng then. 4 sections, can be folded neatly and interchangeable ball head.. with a bag.. only a price tag of $79.. can check it out at Cathay Photo
