Just a friendly reminder to everyone not to go too much off topic, else this thread might suffer the same fate as its predecessor. :D

Nope bro, I don't intend to put in my laptop. Mine is a heavy 17' Laptop.. for home use..

I will make a trip to CP or TK Foto to have a feel on the bags.. see which one I'll prefer and get opinions..

wow...forget abt putting a 17" into a cam bag...you will be carrying a fullpack around haha...

Ya I will probably check out at TK too..they have got quite a large selection for bags...by the way, juz to inform all bros here in CS as well, TK Foto has already shifted to Funan Center...second floor...

;)

when i bought from SLR Rev, the salesperson said no need go to canon to redeem, they gave me the class 2 8g memory and eos bag

Same here, did not check. Just check that it is Sandisk Class 2. No wonder when I took video the other day it suddenly stop...

I have one...I got it 2nd hand in a super mint way.... Got mine for $150. The nice dude gave it to me like it was never used...less than a month after purchase...he even gave me the receipt. The price on the receipt was $195...

Right now...im pretty happy with the grip. Good and solid feel!!! Way better without the grip

was it original? Cos i saw the original place like around S$275++

hi guys, just wanted to know if there's a battery grip for 550d.

Yes, the original is BG-E8, I remember seeing it selling online for about S$250-275.

But I bought the Phottix BP-550D with 2 Phottix battery for about S$105 from ebay http://shop.ebay.com.sg/i.html?LH_AvailTo=180&_nkw=BP-550D+Grip+for+Canon+550D+Rebel+T2i+BG-E8+with+2LP-E8&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A4%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A2396&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=2&_sc=1

Hi,

I am a newbie, intending to focus on those Portrait Photography with bokeh. I find them very nice

After reading, it seems that EF50mm f/1.8 II is a cheap and suitable lens. I noted that many bros are also using it. Can give your advice if it is use with Canon EOS 550D

Anyone interested to get this?

DSLR "Condom" :bsmilie:
They need a few quantities pre-order before they decide to bring it in.

Is it same as http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Silicone-Skin-Case-Cover-Canon-EOS-550D-Kiss-X4-T2i-/350361551664?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Digital_Camera_Accessories&hash=item51932d0330

But i bought the battery grip. Think not suitable for me liao.

50mm f/1.8 is good for low light photography.. you can use it on your 550D..

Hi blueacidic,

I just got my RS-802/C1. How do you confirm it is working?

When I press the gray button, it will auto focus. When I push up, it takes a photo and the "focus confirmation light" in the viewfinder light. Is that consider working? How do I know the shutter is lock?

half press - focus
full press - snap

if you push up to lock it, that's to lock the shutter button for long exposure till you release it.

Guys, i'd just got the Lowepro Rezo190AW, thinking to use this bag for walkabout.

But on the other hand, it be kinda hassle if I were to carry a Tripod along, so I checked on Lowepro, their Fastpacks as what some of you guys discuss over. I was thinking the Fastpack100, but afraid that it can't fit my cam with batt grip. Fastpacks 250 with the laptop compartment seems to big for me.

I'd also checked the fastpacks design where I can retrieve my cam from the side of the bag.

So, guys what's your take if you were me ? Pls do give suggestion..

Fastpack 200 lor...the one i'm using.Should fit your gear:)

Yeah, EF50mm f/1.8 II is a nice lens, cheap and sharp. But there is a little problem with bokeh due to 5 aperture blades. You will see lots of little pentagons on the bakground.

i dun mind them actually, gives an 'authentic' feel to the bokeh ;p

Newbie here.

Is the Canon 550D and its kit lens weather resistant? I can't find any info on Canon website saying that it is WR....

Btw, just realize 60fps video is only available for ntsc, not Pal. Haha took me some time to figure it out

any recommendation for the mic? no need so expensive one...
