Thank you for helping.
What do you need? If you are happy with the range of the 18-55 but need better IQ and f2.8 for indoors then the 17-50 is good. If you find that you frequently clammer for more range then the 28-75 it is. This type of questioning should help u, because our preferences may not be yours.Hi guys.
I got myself a 500D Kit I recently. I was thinking of getting a better lens. Budget wise should be around 600.
I was looking at the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II Lens and the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di Lens .
Since i have the 18-55mm kit lens, will it be wiser for me to get the 28-75mm tamron? Hope you guys can give me some good advice.
Thanks in advance.
Issue is probably you're shooting at wide open for your aperture. Try stopping down moreI have the same kit lens too! Some how the 18 - 55mm lack sharpness occasionally and images tend to be a little soft.
However, I notice that sharpness comes in at around 36mm focal length with f/5.6. I dunno why I can't get any sharpness at 18mm:dunno:
Juz got my 500D. but found that the official thread is going dead.
hahaha
Anyway, lets try to revive this thread ya!?
gotta question to kick start the thread alive.
I am playing around with the user define picture style lately. I am trying to achieve the vintage and the vibrant colour effect.
I did get abit close to what i want, but what i really wanted is to get vintage(lomo) looking result.
Does anybody know how i can get really close to what i describe?
If anybody that have interesting Contrast/Sharpness/Saturation/Colour tone combination, please do share.
Thanks!!
Contrast setting for say Portrait will yield different result from contrast setting in neutral. I don’t think Canon’s released a picture style that can create the lomo effect but you can easily learn to do it in Photoshop.Juz got my 500D. but found that the official thread is going dead.
