press and hold the button on left front(where is switch for af, m is) , then turn the dial.af-s to af-c
Looks like we need a Df gathering session.
vengels, stevefusion: Many thanks.. you were both right, it worked like a charm. The Df is like a small bag, that is full of tricks, the more you use it the more you unlock and appreciate it!
jnet6:anything to unlock more out of a Df...
But there is one thing i am disappointed with it. No video ?? no i can live with it.
No built in flash ? ya sometime i just hope it does have, but don't really mind.
AF SYSTEM ! how i wish it had the same system as the 800e, d4. This might be the only setback to me.
The 39point AF system just.....![]()
If you want a d800 or D4 you can buy one of those.. no point buying a Df and wish it had the features of the d4 or d800.
I think the concern is more on AF module, if they package old style of 5 - 11 AF points with Cam 2000, that will be interesting…
Need a "stronger" AF focusing is low light condition as this is one of the very high ISO camera.
Not that I know of.Does anyone have problem with 'Shutter Freezing ' issues ?

Seeing how successful calling a problem 'shutter shock' has become, the reviewer probably wanted to use another very serious sounding term for what he has observed even though it does not really describe the problem, just so that people will take notice and take part in the subsequent discussions. 'Shutter freezing' would sound more like a mechanical issue and would be quite serious in most instances. Why call it shutter freezing when the reviewer said it has nothing to do with that but some interaction with flicker?

Flickering in artificial light is to be expected with any camera and is not just restricted to the Df. It is therefore nothing to raise a mountain out of a molehill over. Different types of artifical lighting give rise to different photographic phenomena with digital cameras.
The sample photo doesn't look like caused by shutter freezing.Does anyone have problem with 'Shutter Freezing ' issues ?
Precisely. Thanks for your support.
I am sick of Df bashing...![]()
Probably by those who will not buy the camera, or are justifying to themselves why they are not buying it. Both my daughters have so far made attempts to "borrow" mine (I held strong, the camera is still in my procession).
Whats good about it: Its small so that I can do street photography less conspicuously (its much faster than some of my other street cameras, like the F-501), it fits nicely into small camera bags, love the high ISO sensor.
What's bad about it: Nikon should have provided us with the option of a grip.. cheaper would have been better (but then "wanting cheaper" applies to all my purchases, excluding my pricing to clients) and ... and.. actually nothing else.. !
End result: I am enjoying it.. Df bashing etc.. is a waste of time by people who have nothing better to do, but sit in front of their keyboards and be miserable bashing this and that to no end...

Or maybe there is a trend. Certain people bashing a product, everyone follow the trend ?
There will be no way to attach external battery grip to this lens. Perhaps adding a half leather case will improve a bit.
I wish the future Nikon Df 2.0 (if any) will look like this:
