Yeah, although I must say, my first impressions with the camera was pretty much along the same lines - too many dials, a mixed bag technically speaking, and the price... But I think the auto-focus speed is up for contention. I recall many here indicating that the af speed is not as bad.

Actually I have never liked any of his reviews. His pretentious 'mouth-full-of-marbles' ang-moh accented speaking voice is very jarring to my ears and tends to distract from what he's trying to say all the time. With the Df review, he completely lost all credibility with me when he 'dis' the Df's AF ability while shooting in the street in broad daylight. C'mon, not even dpreview dared to claim that the Df has trouble autofocusing in broad daylight. :nono:

His reviews are solely for entertainment purposes only.. Quite funny at times.. But I think this is the first time he criticise a camera so badly..

He is just following Internet trends.. Most ppl dun like DF.. So he must also dislike it..

Most of the time I look up his video for entertainment but you're right he lost all the credibility when he mentioned that the DF has problem focussing even in the bright daylight. And throughout the 9 minutes he just reiterating what most people mentioned on the internet. Even the guy from thecamerastore is much better and fair in assessing the DF although his video was done when the camera was still a pre-production model.

Even Sam Hurd a pro wedding photographer has mentioned that he has no prob with 12800 shooting his cat indoor.

Yup. I have no problem shooting my cats indoors at ISO 12,800 too and I'm not even a pro.

With the Df, I can now safely set the max ISO while in Auto ISO mode to 12,800.

i have to agree with kai on the design. 4 years and this was the best they got? throwing in a D7000 AF module into the D600 and then DF is kinda disappointing with flaws. seems like alo other brands are catching up. While this is a FF camera but i do feel that the Fuji xe-1 and the OM-D are much nicer representations of a cool fusion between digital and classic. just my 2 cents.

Let's rephrase what you said because I'm sick of misdirected tripe. Rather what you are angry about is that Nikon felt that you belong to a market segment that either does not need or cannot afford their best AF and packaged the camera in such a way that makes them the most profit. There, happy?
