The closest your lens can get is 45cm. Try to move back and zoom in

Minimum focusing distance is the distance between the sensor and the subject, there should be a symbol that looks like a circle and a line striking across, that is at the same plane as the sensor. Read your manual, it's in there.

Hey guys, first of all, I want to thank you again for the valuable help!
Anyway, I finally have time to do some food shots today since my schedule cleared up.

Looking forward to take more instead of depending on point-and-shoot(food shots) in the long term.
