Official 600D Users Thread

Hi, do you know where to buy the Crumpler Haven (L) in Sg? Got the same 600D + 18-135 kit as well. Hopefully can put into my Crumpler Barney Rustle Blanket.

I am just going to check the Crumpler Store in MBS

O thanks. I just posted at their facebook page, they say out of stock and might come in soon.

Hi John,

Yup, looks like they will restock by Aug 2011. Till then will need to use the canon bag or my old lowe pro bag...

hi guys,
any idea how much crumpler haven cost in singapore?

I'm also considering an upgrade, although I think I have yet to master enough skills to upgrade :D

The usual suspects are Canon 17-55mm f2.8, Tamron 17-50mm f2.8.

Here's review of the 17-70mm: http://www.photozone.de/canon-eos/517-sigma1770f284osapsc. It seems like good value for money.

Wah bro, both ur targeted upgrade are quite costly.:)
So which 1 u got in the end?

Neither hehe! Got the mighty budget zoom 55-250 :D

Icic...is it good?
In term of pics quality?

Glad u r happy with ur new toy.
I'm still considering which to get...

The BBB virus is too much to handle. But I think it's better to shoot more than buy more :)

Jus went to the canon training, those new to DSLR shld go for this complimentary training quite informative for new user though u might be unsure of the term they say like aperture iso stuff like that as they dun elaborate unless u pay for their course else its quite ok.

So no more BBB buy now SSS shoot haha

I need some help here. Been trying to shoot food that is on the table but the DSLR is unable to focus. I'm using a kit lense 18-135. Is it because the item is too near that's why it's unable to focus? Will a prime 50mm solve the problem?

The minimum focal distance of 18-135 is 450mm (45cm). The 50mm f1.8 has the same. Maybe you can consider macro lens, macro filter or converter. Have to do search for them. I'm not sure too :)

I had to agree the BBB virus is indeed too hard to handle. :p

Been getting cleaning kit, lenspen, lens hood, Kata bag, Canon Crumpler Industry strap & a Canon 50mm F1.8 MK II lens ever since I started this interest...*faintz*

Any recommendations for screen protector for 600D only advice from bros here not to get the screen guard hard plastic type coz the rotating screen may not close properly after applying... coz too thick..

Looking for value for money screen protectors, see many from Ebay international... ship from china or hk.. any recommnedations from brothers here would be very welcome. Thank you!

I just use the cheap one applied by people from TK when I bought the camera. No issue with closing the articulated screen leh :)
