Yes and if i'm not wrong..They already factor in 4% extra for CC transaction which means if you pay in cash, there will be a deduction of 4%..

Thank u! Later I head down at Cp ms to check....

i havent. i am doing my calculations now to see whether its cheaper to buy frm alan photo ($1230) or get from ppp. i dont mind the wait, but if i get it frm the ppp, i will nt get a tripod and a eos bag right? and i will have to go buy them separately, wondering whether that would incur a similar total cost in the end...

got bag la...

tripod i not sure

all the items dat will be given will be shown on the website

so whats the price diff to buy from alan and ppp

I'm getting it tomorrow from TK Foto @ Funan. First time getting a dslr so I'm clueless bout this. What do I check for when buying? And what should i ask? Thanks!

Just got our 600d at Cp ms. Happy!!!! Hurry to go home and charge battery. Thanks for everyone... Ur feedbacks and reviews help me understand this better. cheers!!!!

Happy shooting.

I just wondering why so many people will like to go to Cathxx Pxxxo. Been there three times tried to get something ended up turn my head and walked off!!! Nothing personal....Tried again today(tot give another chance) wanted to buy a slr choosing between Nikon 5000 and Canon 600D cos like the live view tilting lcd and HD video. Stand infront of the display for 10 mins and the staffs keep passing inside the counter and nobody even border to serve me!!! Boh pian just try to get a friendly service thats all!!! L L walked off again and crossed over the road. Ended up bought a nice 660D because a nice sale staff in Camxxx Wxxkxxxp spent one and the half to chit chat and closed deal... Its a cheap and nice slr no doubt... very handy and nice pic result.... sorry for my long air!! just to ease my frastration>>>>

Rather u get 600D Kit 1 + 50mm f/1.8..

You need the kit lens which is the 18-55 f/3.6-5.6 for the slight zoom capability. It's a decent lens to start off from.

oh, maybe i should get 600D kit 1 for starters. i need a tripod, camera bag, dry cabinet/box and transcend memory card. should i buy these at MS Color or places like Best Denki for better package deals? any brands for a decent dry cabinet/box & tripod? i need small one that can hold a camera + a few lenses. thanks!

For prices, cant really advise u on it as i nv go track/rem those prices posted here.Definitely i would push u to MS Color to get it, the guys there can provide u with lots of info. For a start, Digi Cabi DB-036(30l Capacity) would be gd enough.

Tripod wise, nt sure of the one that was package along with the camera for this year.As for my case, i dump the free tripod and gt myself a Sirui carbon fibre tripod with g20 ballhead..

If you guys are looking for quality customer service John 3:16 at Funan probably wins hands down! They even provide free tripod rental if you ever need it!

I bought my kit 1 at $1260

Will advise you to get the accessories you need at the camera shop, i.e. at ms color. If you’re talking about camera equipment, shops like ms color, slr revo, john 3:16, tk foto are definitely selling at lower prices as compared to shops like best denki which are selling at retail prices. As for the accessories that you mention, I’m not too sure about ms color as I don’t purchase those from them, but the shops at funan (slr revo, john 3:16, tk foto) generally sell them cheaper. Best if you do some homework, call up the shops and check the prices before purchasing. Won’t go wrong this way. :)

For a start and general use, a zoom lens such as the 18-55mm would be good. Gives you a range of focal length to work with – it’s easier to compose your shots this way. Personally I started out with just one prime – the 50/1.8. It’s pretty tele – 80mm when used on a 1.6x crop body, so it can be challenging at times when composing your shots. But this will ‘force’ you to be creative in the way you compose your shots, it’s a different experience altogether. But if you’re looking at getting just one 50/1.8 lens then you’ve to be prepared to forgo the wider focal length that might come in handy at times. No doubt the 50/1.8 lens would work nicely on your 600D as a portrait lens, and it’s a pretty cheap and good prime. If your budget allows you, consider getting both. :)

I’m not using the 600D so I don’t have any to recommend. But just take note to get those that are compatible with the 600D – learnt that for the 60D, because of the swivel screen, the usual thicker screen protectors should be avoided, otherwise the swivel screen wouldn’t be able to close properly when flipped inwards. Should be the same for the younger brother 600D since it’s using swivel screen too. Just take note! :)
