Errr can anyone tell me what PPP stand for and where exactly it is located?

How much for 600D kit 1 in PPP? and whats the freebies ?

Thank you

PPP means PRIVILEGED PURCHASE PROGRAM by canon

Basically means you need a old canon camera (be it spoilt, scratches all over, battery cover missing,), bring it the canon CSC at keppel bay tower level 4.

Then you can get around 17% off 600D's retail price.

I just went today, price for 600D kit 1 is $1151 with PPP, the free gifts are standard, 8gb memory card and canon EOS bag.

Estimated collection time is around 7 days.

Read more about the program at http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/threads/717208-Canon-PRIVILEGE-PURCHASE-PROGRAM

Called them up. They say only the body and kit 1 has stock. No stock for kit 2

Agreed! I made the mistake of buying the Manfrotto 190xprob and found it was too short. It was not so bad because I bought 2nd hand from the B&S. It's just that it was in such good condition, I didn't want to let it go. Anyway, I resold it 2nd hand very quickly.

I bought the Manfrotto 055xprob and it is plenty tall. In fact it is taller than my eye level and I'm a fairly tall person. I also bought it 2nd hand from B&S and it is in great condition (just like the first one). If you want to buy brand spanking new... then I would suggest going to Cathay Photo or T K Foto Technic. They have a great selection and you can try them out before buying to ensure correct height and other features.

I hv given up on BnS... Unrealistic price... E-quote Frm MSC $205, BnS $200...

Whoah!... that's high. I would offer $175 (max) and walk away if it's not agreed to.

Hehe, I din even bother to bargain... But I was told Nw price abt 220 brand new

B&S prices here are sometimes very weird and good deals usually snap up within an hr of posting..

True.... even minutes. It all depends on what the market will bear, how attractively it's priced and the condition of the product. Far too many times, there is an emotional component that gets in the way. This can come from the buyer or the seller or both.

When it comes to selling and buying, some people get it and some people don't.

collected my 600D from Canon CSC yesterday morning, reach home fast fast charge battery n start playing ard. Conclusion : Fantastic camera.. easy to navigate and pic quality is awsome. Try out the night shot using ISO 'H'(12800), w/o using flash and tripod, pic quality is good, can't really notice any noise.. but who really care if you don want to have large print or crop 1 small portion and blow up the pic.. hope everyone enjoy your new cam.. think tis little monster will last me for a great no of years if don break down easily..

which model u got? Kit 1 or Kit 2 or just body?

Yup, it's $220 for a brand new one with warranty now (not sure if there is free bag). Previously I sold a new one w/o warranty at $180 and they buyer tried to resell it at $200 after a couple of uses. LOL...

Of course, anyone who has done their homework would not have fell for that.

I wonder what kind of promo will be in for the 600D after 1 May 2011. The current freebies and PUP not tempting to me.

only body (i mean camera body :-P).. trade-in with my faulty 30D.. think it's good bargain... if i repair my faulty cam, need a few hundred $$. as well pay a bit more to get rid of the faulty cam and have latest model to play with..
