I am a uwa guy so i will recommend the 14L ii. However its a prime. Great fir landcsape. For portiat and walkabout, you still have your 35L. One thing to note is 70-200 also can take landscape. But i am still a uwa guy due to the perspective..

17-40L , 16-35L, or 12-24 sigma?
which is better lenses?

I dunno about the earlier two, but the older sigma is softer n poorer at corners even stopped down. (But hey it is a pretty budget ultra wide zoom ) The newer n more expensive sigma 12-24 might be a different breed I dunno.

I have just got a 5DMK2 lately.
Just being figuring it for a while. I just realise that when tried live view function. During Viewing & auto focus the lowest area of my LCD screen about 5mm horizontal is darken with no display, after capture a shoot the picture is display full on the whole lcd screen. Is there a problem with me camera or is it normal. Can some expert please advice. Thank

Fret not, it's perfectly normal.

I believe it's the aspect ratio you set in the video mode for the 5dmk2. The default I believe is 16:9. I'm not sure if it can be changed to show the full area, but 16:9 helps people when they're trying to shoot video.

Activate the live view mode, go to menu and go to live shooting, and navigate from there, you might be able to change it.

any one here using carl zeiss lens on mark II?
would like to know the performance of the lens on this body compared to the respective canon L? which performs better?
like the Distagon T* 2,8/21, Distagon T* 1,4/35 (830 gram), Distagon T* 2/35
am seriously considering these lens. so hope bros would give some advises esp on the Distagon T* 2,8/21 and the super heavy distagon t* 1,4/35 is it really worth the extra weight compared to canon 35L?

Hi I just try it on my 5d2, same thing as yours. I wonder is that normal, looks like its reflected from the mirror. Didnt really observe it till u mentioned it even from my previous canon dslr model incl 60d.

I went out to take a few test shots. The flare don't appear on my images. But not sure if this is normal.

I just got quotes. John 3:16 at $3160. Rest are higher.

Yup, i find the 70-200 actually becomes quite a good walkabout lens on a full frame sensor...
