Nikon D700 is as good as Canon 5D MKII, except D700 no video capability

Pardon my ignorance.

In terms of megapixels, 5D Mark II is 21.1 megapixel full frame and D700 is only 12.1. Both are about $3K plus. Of cos, if given a choice, I will pick Canon over Nikon.

85mm is suitable for half upper body. (For me i like to break the usual usage rules, i use 85mm for full body also. in fact even my 135mm i am using for full body, just that i have to stand further away)

50mm for full body.

so both is useful.

since u got kit lens now, why not adjust to 50mm and 85mm and see which one u prefer?

Understand that what we see may not be totally what we capture, may I know is there any remedy/tips/tricks to assist photographers so that at the closest possible, what we see = show on camera LCD = upload in the cyberworld/print out.

its easier to edit via raw file then jpg.

Dear 5DMKII users,

Am not using 5D2 ( Yet ) but would like to enquire on the following.

Am currently using 7D and have the following lens that are compatible both ways FF and APSC. 35L, 85L 135L 100-400.

My enquiry would be that am i not using the lens to its maximium capability by using a 7D?

For those whom own both or have switched from a 7D to a FF, other then the FOV of the above mentioned lens, do you see any major difference?

I understand that bokeh would get creamier on the FF which is due to you being nearer to subject on the same lens compared to a crop.

Hope to seek some expert advise

if u got any friends going HK, u can try ask them to check the price there especially now HKD is in our favour. (1sgd=5+hkd)
