Today went down to Canon @ Vivo to take a look at 60D and try out EF-S kit lens, end up being poisoned by the 5DMii.....loved it! But need to jaga my wallet too...now I am a confused guy because of it as I initially wanted to get the 60D.

Darn!! Shouldn't have gone there....

As we all know, the Canon 5D MkIII was not introduced at Photokina in September. Would anyone have any knowledge of a pending launch date?... soon... later.... indefinite?

What about the mysterious Canon 3D?... Anybody know?

there is no 5D MKIII :D
simply because 5D MKII is selling like a hot cake.
All 3 main brands (Canon, Nikon, Sony) are concentrating on beginner range.
If u want to u can wait another one year. 5D to 5D MKII is 3 years if not wrong. 5D MKII is already 2 years.

5DMKII is good to have but I think 60D is also a good cam. Just got it last week before my Hong Kong trip, love the size (perfect for my hand, 550D too small 5DMKII too big..haha), IQ and the reach when using same lens, tested with my new purchase in Hong Kong - Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 OS, colour, bokeh is nice..:)

wow still in JC and have a 5d mkii. I'm trying hard just to save up for one!!

Just focus on your 'A's and shove your major photography projects till after your exams. That way it wont be so sian studying as you've already know how to celebrate later....!

There is no international warranty for Canon bodies, and they ceased international warranty for lenses recently.

A budget air ticket cost approximately $250 to Hong Kong, should you ever need to send it to HK service centre.

oh man means buying from singapore only available via singapore service centre ??

Dear fellow 5Dm2 owners,

I recently read in this website: http://www.backyardastronomy.com/Backyard_Astronomy/DSLR_Cameras_for_Astrophotography.html. That 5Dm2 has this feature where it has a special buffer memory to take up 5 long exposures then apply a dark frame to each of the previous 5 light frames.

How do I access this special feature? Anyone knows?

want to know also haha :)

hi guys, newbie with 5d mk2 50mm f1.4 here..

a newbie question, i am trying to take pictures indoors at night florescent light, with no flash, f1.4 1/100 ISO2500 manual mode:

using specific point on the 9-point focus, many times especially on the left and right ones i am unable to focus, middle lesser of this problems. but when i use full auto same position its ok, although i am unable to get the point of focus i wanted 3 out of 10 times.

and when there is 2 to 3 person, either one moving backwards by a few inch will appear blurred slightly.

when all else fails, just use the centre focus point - lock it at the area which you want to keep in focus and recompose the shot. i do that all the time for my work. it works for my portraitures :)
