Got my 5D Mark II recently. Has anyone been using a PHOTTIX BATTERY GRIP BP-5D II (BG-E6) and what is your take on it?
I am a hobbyist, hence don't think I wanna spend $300+ on a Canon BG-E6.
Hi i am not sure this happens to any 5D M2 owners out there. I have enabled the ISO expansion settings. But i still cannot select the 3 extra ISO ranges from the ISO settings.
Any idea whether I have missed out any steps?
Thanks guys..
Did you turn off Highlight tone priority, if not turn it off and you would get your 50, H1 & H2...![]()
It works!!! You're the best!Thanks..
P/S: Just got my 5D Mk II today!.. Hole in the pocket..

Got my Phottix BG with 5DMKII + 24-105 kit about 3 week ago @ AP, do a few Model shoots in Sin, ShenZhen, Hong Kong and yesterday in MarinabyaSands, so far so goodIf you use the Canon original battery with the Phottix grip, battery life is shown on our 5DMKII LCD but not Phottix OEM battery. Will try out the SDV OEM battery share by 5DMKII user White Wolf. According to White Wol,f SDV battery life able to shown on our 5DMKII and only cost $35..
if your current set serve your needs, then i think mark3 coming out or not will not be a concern unless you intend to purchase mark2 and heard that 3 is on the way, then will be wiser to wait, otherwise....:dunno:
my current 500D do not serve for my needs, thats why i am thinking on going to fullframe and it seems that canon is getting rid of its 5DMkII thats why i don't know sholud i wait for MkIII or buy MkII now

unless you think MkII dont serve your needs also......i still see the resales value of Mk2 still holding well, i dont see the Mk3 days coming so fast....
Curious... in what way does your 500D not serving your needs? :dunno:
i want to go to full frame as i am more to the wide angle side, xxxD series does not do as well in the high ISO and lastly most of the lens are for full frame, so even if you buy a 17-40L the range would be useless in a crop body (btw i dont like 10-22).
Since you have thought it thru alr.. just buy it. It's like buying a car, don't think too much... :bsmilie:
that's why i am seeking advise on whether should i wait of MkIII (persume if its coming next year)or just buy a MkII now since the price is quite attractive.
If you wanna to buy just buy la.... If you wanna to wait just wait la![]()
