or u can wait for the 5D3 or whatever it's going to be called. lol

Think the main diff between this two are iso > 1600 and video capability. Aside than the processor used.

The question is how often you use it for iso>1600 and video. And ding!ding!ding! You have the answer

I prefer the stand alone just to take good pictures and not video.Too much function

5D can also do ISO3200. Others are: 5D2 is 21mp, while 5D is 13mp. And 5D2 has liveview while 5D doesn't.

Dun forget the larger 3" screen (920,000 pixels) on the II compared to 2.5" (235,000 pixels) on the 5D and to be exact the 5D is rated at 12.8 MP. Viewfinder coverage on the II is 98% compared to 96% for 5D. Continuous shooting is 3.9fps for the II and 3fps on 5D, and also buffer size for II is 78 frames large jpeg, 13 frames RAW compared to 60 frames large jpeg, 17 frames RAW on 5D.

U cannot compare a predecessor model's price with a current model's price. When 5D was first out, it was $6999 which is a lot more expensive than the MK II when it first launched.

Yup, i know. But i'm referring to the current dollar value where i can buy a FF cam for the price of $1.4k (including BG as mentioned by Eleveninth). This is a big plus point for the 5D, a budget FF camera which is as good as it's successor in terms of being FF.

I'm so in love with it...i'm thinking of dumping my 50D so i dun have to be in a dilemma everytime i pack my bag for a birding session...LOL!!!
