Just wanna ask for advice or rather preference. Would your mount a 24-70mm or 24-105mm on your 5D? Considering a walkabout lens and for portraits. :)

Everyone has their own preferences for various reasons. That said, I would prefer to mount the 24-105 on my 5D for general walkabout reasons. The 24-105 is lighter in weight and has a greater focal range for additional flexibility.

Yea personal preference, my 2470 sees less action ever since i got the 35/135

I would definitely choose 24-105 for range and IS. aperture wise not impt as u already have IS.

Can you stop posting these?:bsmilie:

I keep opening and closing my bank book after seeing your shots........;p I don't dare to bite the bullet yet because I still don't know how to use manual lenses........:(

Oh...ok if you insist :bsmilie: Don't wanna be blame for tearing a hole in your pocket :)

I recently changed my focusing screen to EE-S, unfortunately i forgot to change it in the settings.

I experienced hanging every few shots today, had to on off my 5D. at one point err 99 came out. wondered what was wrong as i just changed my pcb, so i checked the settings. I found that i had not changed it to EE-S, after i changed then everything worked smoothly.

was wondering if that was what affected the 5D causing it to hang, or could it be something else. =\

It could be a lens thing. When I first mounted my converted CZ 28-80mm and after a few shots the AF stop working and ERR 99 appeared. Have to unmount and mount again
lens to the body and then it was ok,

Tried on all 3 lens i had at the time. Same problem.. Alittle paranoid now after changing pcb. Lol

Hope nothing is wrong

Weird,

I changed the screen to EE-S too, forgot to change the settings till 1 week later. It was fine during the whole 1 week.

What manual lens are you using on your 5D? Some manual lenses when focused to infinity will hit the mirror when it goes up and give an error, one thing to take note of.
