I have a 5D and a 5D2. Nothing weird about it.
The 5D is still my main body and 5D2 my 2nd body. Works well for my needs.

cause aint the 2nd mark kinda overlaps the 1st, and rather have another crop to compliment range or speed :sweat:

not sure if anyone out there collects all of the marks of the same series though

sometimes easier to have both same crop. 24 + 85 both on ff provide the best in coverage

If I have a choice I'd put UWA on FF and a tele on crop and carry both out. Used to do that with my ex 10D.

Cos need some spare $$$ to finance my own wedding as 'backup fund' just in case I need it.

if given a choice which lens would you guys mount on your 5D for portraits?

Is there like a king of portraits lens for canon?
i was thinking maybe the 135mm F2 USM L or Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 USM L II or the 70-200mm f2.8 USM L IS II??

Different people different opinions. It's the 50L for me.

There are adapters designed for different mounts to use on EF mount bodies.
And since majority of them will be MF only (perhaps with AF confirmation), there isn't really anything about performance issue unless the mount involves in extra elements like those FD to EF lens adapters.

And those adapter mounts with AF confirmation are not very cheap too.
