Oh I see.

I saw a few sellers in B&S putting their 5D SC as "around 10k". Frankly, other then Anthony who have all the documentary proofs, I doubt the rest are truthful. :bsmilie: (You guys know who you are...;))

But yours if upfront tell you 25k, I think still ok lah. But if you do want to do a SC check in CSC, you may just want to be mentally prepared that it may be alot more than that........

By the way, have you tried a slightly faster CF card to see if there is any difference?

When one quotes a shutter count number, it must be supported with a receipt from CSC, otherwise his guess is as good as yours. When I sold mine, accompanied with a receipt from CSC, the count was exactly 10545. Doing it any other way constitutes dishonesty.

Check your custom functions. Is the "Add original decision data" enabled? that may be the culprit :)

Hey he might be right. I just tried that out on my rented 5D and it actually takes slightly longer to review image.

If this was the culprit and Canon actually wants to charge for the logic board replacement... boo

Yes, it is the culprit!

Thanks! Wow I have no idea what that does, but I guess the previous owner left it on. Now it is much faster! Thank you!

Yup, turns out that is the case in my 5D!

Hmm I did not actually send it in for replacement, just that when I went to get my sensor cleaned at CSC, I just ask the technician if he knew about any issues like mine.

He tried my camera for awhile, took a few photos and compared the speed with my friends 5D. He then said its most likely to be the logic board. Guess he did not know about the custom function as well!

It's used for data verification to check if the image is post-processed or original.

This can go on a FAQ for 5D and made a sticky.

I agreed. But I dun mean to earn money thr photography. Just to get back some money spent on photography. ;)

I helped out my friends for birthdays too.

Hi guys, have you guys tried to blow out dust from the sensor?

My 5D have 2 minor dust which appear from f13 onwards. I shoot with the 17-40L. I am thinking whether to try to blow it away first or to send it in to CSC..... Cost $20+GST, have called to confirm.

I need to get rid of the dust spot as I need to print some landscape shots. it does not appear at f11 and below.

You guys think should just leave it as it is or get it cleared? :dunno: Anyone with similar experience?

If it cannot be removed by a blower, then go to CSC to get it cleaned.

When i bought my 5D there was some dust on the sensor that could not be removed by blowing as well, so just go down and pay CSC $21.40 to get it cleaned.

HI All,
Sharing a photo taken with classic and sigma 50mm.
newbie with FF and happy with it.

i cant seem to get the hand of posting the pics direct to here.will try figure out again.

Bro you chose the wrong subject as an example liao. Because of the tone of the subject, overall looks a little dull with the pic you posted. The Sigma is one of the best lens to pair with the 5D, and I am sure you will fall in love with it.

Look forward to you other pictures! And congrats on your new lens. :)

Thanks bro. Ya am loving it.
Just got the lens out after calibration, will shoot more with
It.

I did read up earlier post and tried but can't get it.
Will try again when back home.
Thanks bro.

If u want to be one, u must have some certain skills for photography and also depends if u're hired to do the job after that.
