This drama has escalated to another level, the way I see it, Odex cannot back down now, there's too much publicity and to back down now would have great consequences for the directors of Odex.

They started something which I think have reacted beyond what they expected. Unless their gameplan is so flawless, I can't imagine how anyone (Odex & anime fans / scene) can come out of this in one piece. Things have definitely changed.

I started this thread initially becoz I felt that something is seriously amiss in the case and so far I still do not believe that Odex is "clean" based on the other information posted here.

Btw, I wouldn't be surprised that the people in Odex are reading online posts / opinions on the case and are reacting to it. By criticising them online, we may have helped them cover their initial loopholes.

Anyway Odex if you are reading this, remember you can't fool all the people all the time.

There are just too many forums to monitor. Unlikely they will go to a photography website or Singaporebrides.com to check, maybe ISD will read this.
I guess attention will be more focused on Sammi, VR, anime, edmw, sgforum and various anti-odex blogs bah..

There is no turning back for them now. Odex will fight all the way, I believe as it progresses, they engage more help from foreign parties to pressure our local papers TO side their story...

People listen to him and i believe him to be a wise and fair man. after all he was the guest speaker at a cosplay contest so for sure i think he knows how this is hurting his fellow countrymen.

Unfortunately, they chose to start the entire 'game' of sueing people, pretty much like RIAA strongarm over the RIAS slap-on-wrist that "STOP! WE ARE WATCHING U!"

PR disaster? That's definitely for sure. There are many ways out of this PR disaster if they want to continue 'enforcement' yet sue for peace amongst angry flames. It only depends on whether they are willing to make the first move by turning off the fire themselves rather den let the fire rage on.

IMO, the longer the fiasco drags on, the fire's gonna get bigger and bigger till a complete boycott and ultimate & complete death of anime industry here is imminent.

Its like, after the teachers says (in an exam), "Put ur pens down!", the chap starts to compare answers before the papers were to be handed up and quickly amends his answers before handing up.

The answers may be amended but the pencil marks remain.

funny thing is, i didnt even realised i bought so many of their anime in the 1st place. i watched some from youtube and then went to buy the whole series because i liked them so much.
