actually no point speculating until the results of appeal against the judgement on pacnet's case is out, meanwhile if any of the internet companies is smart enough, someone should have recognised the potential in the market of offering affordable anime downloads ;p time to do away with excess fats in the distribution chain

Right on! Initially xodex never mention about support from the japanese companies, now the japanese companies are coming to 'support' them. Now xodex gonna donate to charity...
They have definitely LOST the PR battle and the hearts & minds of the anime fans in Singapore. Pui! :angry:
If the letters from japanese companies supporting xodex is dated AFTER xodex have claimed representation of those parties in court documents, letters to the supposed downloaders or whatever, does it mean they lied? and hence render those documents non-binding?
I've been following the Xedo drama for a while. At first, he blew the moral high-ground trumpet, then got Internet-whacked (i.e., (o,o)y) red-handed by equally smart people on the web. Then came the PacNet blow and one-upped by the smartER folks around on the web and their collective wisdom.
I think (O,O)y boy is taking it personal now. His "geek cred" is in high jeopardy. I fear his ego will get the better of him.

Well, wat they are trying to say is we're too wired up in SG for our own good... in those countries, they have more populations which does not have chance to use computers not to mention internet...
