To all:
1. No one knows exactly who is right or wrong.
2. If buyer or seller has a problem with the other guy, let them settle themselves, do not interfere.
3. If they are not able to settle it through peaceful channel, go by the legal channel.
To Alloy:
I would say thanks to you for sharing your experience. It is of great help from you to notify us that such a person may exists. But it does not help you in anyway by revealing the nick and name of that person if you are not gonna do anything about it. Even if people believe in it, it does not mean it is true. I am not saying you are lying, just that it makes no point in arguing unless you are to do something about it, at least legally if no peaceful way can solve it.

Haiz, i myself also wanna settle it the peaceful way. Infact i have repeatedly been very lenient and patient to him right from the beginning but wat really sparked and pissed me off was him wanting to delay payment with very lame excuses, like forgetting, bz, filter is fake, wanna use the money for buying other photographic equiptment (this is the worse one) !!!! etc. I mean how in the world am i suppose to get a fake filter to sell him? And does he have any reason to hold on my money to finance other of his purchases.
Anyway he smsed me more than 30 messages today ranging from pleas to accusation that im cruel and have ruined his life etc etc all very crappy. But if u have read the previous posts, especially the emergence of the nick coolzzz, u can clearly see who is trying to do who in. I kept quiet without any accusation or direct insinuations at any nick or individual and even the item that been transacted was not revealed at the very beginning. Did all these to keep his identity and nick anonymous and had wanted to jus leave it that way, but out pop coolzzz demanding everyone to "think" and suggest very directly that i was at fault all from the start. He even suggested that i was the baddie. Hard to swallow man. I truely understand "long's" post in asking ppl to keep and maintain trust only to ur close one and friends only. But i think sometimes we really have to give some ppl the benefit of the doubt and trust them a little bit, its how deals and friends are being in the first place but once there is a breach of trust and someone play foul, then we should condemn them. As for going legal, i dont think i wanna do that yet right at this moment for i feel that its really uncalled for if dtaytc/coolzzz dont do anymore funny things. I revealed nick and name for i hope the rest of the forumers wont get into the mess im in right now all due to the fact in dealing with someone whom did not deserve our trust.
Anyway he smsed me earlier on close to 9pm to ask me to see him at jurong point to get the $20 bucks from him at 9pm. How in the world am i suppose to do it at the last minute? Im at the other end of the island man. Moreover, i think im not going to be at the beck of his call, meeting anywhere and anytime he suggest to take back the money. He has already done that peviously during the meetup for seeing the item using school busy with project as the reason. Now wanna pay me also like that.
I ask him to wire the money to my account but he simply refuses, saying that he dont want me to know his account number. He is afraid i may do something to him with his account number. Man HOW IN THE WORLD AM I SUPPOSE TO DO IT??!! He is holding my account number right now, if its by anyway possible to sabo someone with an account number i should be the one panicking right now judging from his shady character.
I guess he really must have a reason wanting me to meet him in person. Dunno wat he's up to again, im really not comfortable meeting him liao after receiving his sms previously containing threats. I even taught him how to use a cash deposit machine to do direct cash deposit into my account which will leave no trace of his account number he also dont want. Suggest that he use another person's account whose identity is anonymous to me he also refuse. He jus simply say that he wont gimme back my money if he dont see me. Really damn boliao and insecured man this guy. Every dam* thing also scared.
Clueless liao lah now, maybe u guys can gimme some suggestion in getting the money back without meeting him. After i get back the $20 i straight away donate it to NKF or put into donation in the GuanYin Temple i also happy. Dont like ppl cheating my money, jus dont feel good.

My suggestion is send the money concealed via registered post? Reg post costs $2, so ask him to put $17.78 into a concealed envelope and pay $0.22 for the stamp and $2 for postage. Being registered, there will be proof of postage and proof of receipt. But then again, you might not want him to know your address.
Alternative is to meet up at a central MRT accompanied by a friend or 2? But there is the possibility of being stood up.... haha...man...difficult sia....

I dun think you will want to meet up with him. Sure a lot of bad mouthing and swearing one after this heated saga. Dun think you want him to throw $20 into your face and call you names right?

correct. I think you should just up the ante and post his damm hp number here. so at least you cost him that much,. it may not be a win win situation, but sometimes there is pleasure to be taken from disrupting the life of assholes..

or
b) just pay back the money by bank transfer.
its not as though we don't know who you are in RL, your HP number is already proof of who you are and a court order is all it takes to find out your home address, there is no need to know your posb account number in order to take legal action.

or for that matter pasted on american idol SMS.. hah.

Since you are here, mind explaining why:
1)you posted under a different nick instead of clarifiying things out directly?
2)you did not pay up the full amount in the first place?
3)you have not done so via bank/internet transfer?
It's hard for us to believe you if you do not explain yourself clearly.

think bout this: Would you want to make a good and clean trade with another person, or would you instead want to trouble yourself and the other person by changing the terms of the trade? the first option is best as it is a win-win situation in which both parties get what they want (buyer gets goods, seller gets $$). If you do not have enough $$ or you are just bidding for fun, then you shouldn't even be a worthy member of clubsnap at all.
there are many good sellers out there, but as patient as they might be, they can still be pissed off by nuisances.

ok, on that day where i suppose to meet him, he has gave me an impression that he wanna sell to me urgently and he need to go for appointment on that day 7pm. then we met at 5pm... so i think is abit rush.. but i dun have enough $$ so i just bring watever i have in my wallet that day... then on the meet up, i told him i dun have enough... instead of go away, he give me an impression that he dun wanna waste the trip.. i know... so i also dun wanna waste his or mine... so i just told him that i will pay him the $100 first then i will transfer to him the lastest by next day. I know i have broke my promise.. i apologise.. but i really stuck with my Proj.. so have no time and really forgotten everything... until he msg me again... so i intend to return him on sat... but then after i saw wat he has posted here really make me like an asso who trying to escape from payment... that's y instead of defending myself, i rather keep quiet..
