Hi Numnumball,

I used to take flower shots with a 90mm Macro lens. Thinking of going for butterfly and dragonfly photography. My colleague recommended Tamron 180mm Micro for it's longer working range and price. But after looking thru' your shots, I am seriously considering this lens. It is not available in Nikon Singapore website, but available in Malaysia website, US and UK. Not sure if a replacement is coming soon. This lens is rated 10 in Fredmiranda's review. Have you got any chance of taking bugs photo with the Tamron 180mm to compare it with Nikon 200mm?

Regards,
ancientmoon

Apologies for the v late reply, seldom come up to CS nwadays.. i think Tammy 180mm give Nikon 200mm a bang for its bucks. Its a decent budget value for money lens. Ya can refer to Loboclerk old post in this galleries. Most of that is taken with Tammy 180mm.

200mm f4 micro is readily available in Singapore if i m not wrong. Saw one at Cathay Marina the other day :)

Dear Numnumball,
Thanks for sharing your fantastic shots. All pics are very nice and clear. I'm also love to shoot micro but I'm very new in photograph not so familiar with S'pore places. May I know the place you took that shots? Anyway, I really like all of this. :)
