NR: NIKON D5300 & D610!


It is always wise to upgrade every alternate release.

Or can always upgrade to the D800 or D4.

Finally sent in my D4 after using it for 1 year...

The technician said it's VERY dirty... told me, he will need an hour or two to get it cleaned out.

So, let's just say upgrades or pro bodies aren't entirely worry free. It's just that I don't care much about dirt. :)

Dust happens la. I just sent mine in a couple of weeks back, also around 1 year of use. Mine is not so bad. But I do blow the sensor once in a while.

I am not talking about worry free for upgrades. Many seems to be frustrated that the new model does not have too many new features. But that is usually the case nowadays, especially now we are hitting a plateau technology wise. Just like Thom Hogan says all the time, it is best to only upgrade every alternate generation.

If I had a Nikon D600, I would not bother upgrading to the Nikon D610. Nothing much gained anyway.

Yeah, can't avoid, just shocked need to wait for that long, so I said, okay lor, then ask to send in my D600s for cleaning also since need to wait...

My poor cashcard kena badly.
 

Walked pass Cathay Photo @Marina. Out of curiosity, went in for a test. Apparently they are fortunate enough to be all out of D600 stock early, so no pricing angst over having to sell a camera with a bad reputation and the "corrected version" at the same time.

D610: "Waiting for stock and Nikon hasn't told us the price yet".
 

That's the main issue, the wifi should be builtin.

So the Nikon D5300 gets built-in WiFi... But not the Nikon D610... Hmm...
 

Sianz nt many upgraders, wonder which shop has many stock to clear..:)

Yes, time to upgrade my D5100 to D5300.... Yep available in BODY only from US sites for pre-order and is less than US $800 :o

Like the D7100 it has no anti alias filter too ! :thumbsup:
 

D610 available in Funan shops. Same price as D600
 

Is D5300 available locally yet? any prices to share?
 

For those eyeing the D610... was at Funan today.... some of the friendly neighbourhood store already have it.... MS at AMK also.... $24++ like that....
