Oh man your photos are fantastic. I'm just a newbie, but i really think your photos are superbly done. Are you a professional? :P

I studied in Finland for 1 year, and during that time, travelled around Scandinavia as well.
The scenery there is absolutely breath taking. Seeing your photos make me want to go over there again. It was such an amazing experience! :)

Haha you flattered me.. I dare not say i'm a professional ;p

Actually i wanted to go Finland, however 1 month is still not enough for me to cover the 3 countries. In fact, if i have the chance (and $) to go again, i will definitely go in the summer to Lofoten islands in North Norway.

hey very very nice pictures and fantastically presented. looks like a coffee table book i would like to buy.
great job thanks loads for sharing.

Wah really like the photos... composition is good. Learn sth by looking at ur photos :D
And really tempted to go Europe!!

been to some of the places you went to... never really appreciated it that much until saw your pics... great shots... 3.5k for 1mth? wow... i spent like 1.8k within 3weeks... (sorry but i study in london, so save a bit on the airfare) hehe... still ... great shots... really enjoyed looking at them...;)

Glad you guys enjoyed the pictures.

londonray, i'm amazed that you can spend only 1.8k in 3 weeks! Probably for me is because the air tix and scanrail pass add together is 1.4k already.. However i really like the flexibility of the scanrail pass as it allows me to get on the train at the very last minute without having to queue at the ticketing counter/machine. Several times, the doors just close the moment i jump onto the train! and that's the only train of the day.

wow... really great presentation and really nice pics as well! :) really like the small sepia series in a pg... just wondering, all digital?

Yes all these are in digital. I shot some 120 slides, but haven't develop yet. Those pictures in sepia are taken in Stockholm. As i wanted to walk about without much gears, i dumped all my backpack and camera bag in a locker and i jus walk and shoot with a 50mm 1.8 that's all. And it's amazing what this small little lens can do! :)

oh man i just love your pics! keep it up!
cheers~

Nice series of travel pix
Impressive framing and montage!
Thanks for sharing....

Nice presentation! although I think a number of the pics will look better without the tilt. Overdone already.

Impressive presentation & lovely photos!
Hope I have the chance to go back again.
Any northern lights photos? One of my dreams to be able to see & take one of those!

Actually one of the reason why i want to go Abisko is because it's deep into the Arctic Circle, and apparently (from my LP guidebook), it's the dryest place in Sweden. So i thought, whilst every other places have thick clouds, they should have extremely clear sky.

However the only night i was there, it's snowing and i couldn't even see a star in the sky. So i gave up hopes in viewing the northern lights. Instead, i enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of a Swedish family (whom i met on the 18hr train ride) who invited me for a night stay in their home, chit chat and appreciate some rare swedish beer. Thinking back, the experiences i've got was way better than viewing northern lights ;)

FYI, this site have a lot of real time info about aurora phenomenon. They have data plots and shows approximately where aurora activity is the highest..

Yup, mainly the architecture ones - I guess you had a hard time arranging them?

Really loved the lighting in your shots - is it like this most of the time at this time of the year?

I'm not too sure about other seasons, but during the time i went, for 6-8 hrs of the day, the sun never rise higher than SG's sun 9am standard. So if i get a clear sky, i have that much golden hours to shoot. Probably thats the reason why people always say pictures almost always turn out nice when it's taken overseas.

I've been to Lofoten Islands! I was totally taken aback by the breathtaking scenery! It really is heaven on earth if you ask me. If you go during winter, you'll be able to see the famed Aurora Borealis!

Anyone who has the opportunity should definitely go there! :)

Woah! Lucky you! :)

Do you have any pictures of Lofoten Islands to show? Which season did you chose to visit it?

Fantastic series ! I really enjoyed going through your presentation. Makes you want to go there and capture those beautiful sceneries.
Great job, thanks for posting.:)
