ransoma22 - thanks for the compliments ;)

Shiro MS08th, as far as i can remember, i shot #1 and #2 anywhere between f3.5 to f5.6.. As i took them on a moving train travelling at well over 80km/h, i need the fast shutter speed (minimum of 1/400s). Any softness from big apertures can be solved using USM in photoshop, but not for motion blurness.

I can't pull out the EXIF data from #3, don't know why.. but judging from it, i most probably shot it anywhere in f8-f11 - my fav for landscape..

#4 is f8 too..

I always backpack alone.. It allows me to take my own sweet time to enjoy a meal or a cup of tea, or make me understand myself and other cultures better, or even re-discover the meaning of life in some life-and-death situations.

I'm already sourcing info for my backpacking trip '06, probably to Pakistan or India ;)

You're still young and lots of opportunities for you to see the world! Grab/Make the chance.

Oh.
I may try some landscape shooting too, but not sure what aperture to use.
f/22 is sharp, but on a trip, prone to have change lens, and dust may get stuck inside, and shoot f/22 surely the dust will be visible.

re-discover the meaning of life in some life-and-death situations.

Yeah, prone to happen, but that's the thrill in it.

Good luck to you for the 2006 trip!

nice shots, but I think the framing not suitable.
It makes the pics hard to look at. (ie the black border)

...

Yes that is one huge problem i got when i travelled for 1 month and didn't bring along my sensor swap! Show you an example of the horrendous dusts on my CCD.. The before and after effect.

Shot at f11, and the bottom pic is corrected using photoshop.

Hi thanks for the comment :)

It is to simulate the actual size when it's put in the coffee table album. So it's almost a wysisyg.

great job Daniel
the "coffee table album" presentation makes the pictures more interesting that they already are. thanks for sharing such beautiful pics. :)
