'No Photography' Plz...

lai, i have good news here to share.

i've sent a few email to several publishing media juz now.
those include ST, TNP, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News.
i got a call from shin min editor juz few mins after i sent the mail.
went thru a short tele-interview and was asked to forward them
the 2 addresses i mentioned regarding the signs 'no photo' in chinatown.

the normal procedure is the article must goes thru the editor first
to access if it has news value n no political agenda b4 the print can hits the street.

so, watch out for the SM news tomorrow. ;)

photo forwarded.

Singapore everything also talk about "copyright" and "trademark".

Even when I was in McDonald, trying out 1 of my friend's new compact digital camera, trying to shoot the double cheeseburger also kena told off by the staff there.

Worse, it's the manager!

Is not as if I'm going to sell the pic, just testing a shot with the cam also cannot....

:( :dunno:

next time tell him that you cannot patent or trademark a bloody burger or its recipe:thumbsd:.

He has no right to tell you off about anything. Tell him to wake up his idea.

Which branch is it? Maybe I'll go try it there one day.

Take down his name and post big big :) Best, take his photo :)

i go with u

the thing is that, of course we like to take photos but we dont have the right to post it up or sell the photo unless we have the permission. have to look at their point of view, would you like someone taking a photo of you and that person earn $100 from that photo? :D but still they should always ask not to take photos in a polite way. Singaporean way is, "Oi dont take photos, delete delete." haha

Moral view maybe. Legal view, no; you do have the right to post it up or sell with or without permission.

Whether the person likes it or not is another question altogether.
