Yeah it was really cold!

I am disappointed at how some members of a prominent photography group Mentorgraphians had conducted themselves and how the members stood up to support the selfish act of bringing a huge number of photographers to a HDB stairway to shoot fireworks. I feel very disheartened and very discouraged from shooting fireworks after the nasty encounter which followed a previous nasty encounter with another group of photographers.
I don't care much whether I get the shot or not. I care how the photography community, in particular land/cityscape shooters, will be judged by outsiders if the behaviour of bringing one gang down and setting up furnitures to relax and using water bottle to chope place. We have seen other genres getting bad press for the irresponsible actions by a handful and it is a handful which is enough to taint the name of the community. Hence, I lay my head down and fight against such behaviours, which sickens me to read people defending those who were guilty of such a thing. Someone even lay down a threat against me.
It is my hope that photographers will remember that we are humans before photographers. You want to enjoy yourself as much as others want to enjoy themselves. If your selfish irresponsible act causes someone else to be discouraged and not wanting to shoot anymore, what good does your action bring?
