District 50

First shot in the year 2015. The ever changing skyline, it had changed much since I was young. It used to be more spacious around this area, but still good to see people choosing this area for their morning and evening jogs. This is the first in the series of Singapore 2015 and as we enter the half-century year of our young nation, I am sure this skyline will still undergo more changes in future to drive our economy onwards. Onward Singapore!

The sunset yesterday evening. Compared to many rooftop or observatory views I had been to in other countries, I still love this view. It is enjoyable to feel the wind while taking in the beauty of the scene. As the Sun dips below the horizon, the reflected glow of the setting Sun lit up the few clouds hanging above the Central Business District (CBD) skyscrapers, there is still a little excitement and buzz within me that makes the whole experience wonderful.

This is a rather old public housing structure in Singapore. Located in Taman Jurong, it had in recent years become place rented out to families who are waiting for their Build-to-Order houses to be completed.

The simplicity of the design lies in the interconnectedness of the four blocks joined by 4 lift columns. There is also a supermarket right in the middle. When I visited this place last week, the occupants have already moved out. I'm crossing fingers that it won't be demolished just yet. When there were still occupants, children playing games at the first floor common area was a rather common sight. However, in the recent times, no thanks to technological advancements, children playing games outdoors appears to be a less common sight.

anyone knows how to take a shot with the logo/wordings on top of the building like "Citibank", "Maybank", "NTUC", "DBS Bank" ...etc still clearly seen ?

I always get it over-exposed same like over here ...

even if I tried the fastest shutter speed, the result is still the same, the signboards are blury ... of cos I took with tripod.

Thanks

you can always expose only for the building signs, windows etc, but all the other parts of photo will be underexposed severely.

FYI, most people will just leave it overexposed, since most of the signs only occupier very small parts of the photo and it is not the main subjects, if you really want have all the building sign exposed correctly on final image, you will need to take a couple of frames with the building sign exposed correctly and do a layer blend in photoshop.

Dont think he's trolling. Probably just not aware that our community doesnt really like to spoonfeed, or at least only within reason. Personally I just think the process and final product is that little bit sweeter if I had to work harder for it. :)
