[nitewalk] visions

A different feel to "Last Light" which I posted days ago. Dark clouds started streaming in but I feel it lends a more dramatic feel to the scene.

The glow over the horizon lasted for a while but at this point it was already fading, but the last faded look with the immensely dark and layered storm clouds make an excellent contrast.

Two frame vertorama using Sony A7R and Canon TS-E 17 mm.

Sky was crap but hey, its not often you get to munch chips, drink, sit on an armchair and watch TV while shooting!

I was in the area to do something and saw the sky and the brief glow, went up for a quick snap and hurried off. Would have loved to blend the blue hour lights with the sunset. That's for another day then.

Another attempt at the same spot. Still prefer the blue hour view.

Haha, i may pass by Sydney on my way to Melbourne in December. Haha!

Thanks WK!

Great photos you have taken here, really enjoyed the series.

For Sydney harbour bridge, you can consider going to the botanic gardens and shoot from there towards the bridge, including the opera house.

If you are going in Dec, it will be summer, with longer day lights, so you should be able to get more daytime to travel from point to point & for shooting.

Hey man, thanks a lot for the suggestions. I may go instead next year. I didn't think of going to the botanic gardens and will look it up. And yes, the longer daytime would be so much more helpful!

You are welcome!

Look up this place called [Mrs MacQuaries' Road] or [Mrs MacQuaries' Chair] at the Sydney botanic gardens.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House will be on the West side, so just nice for sunsets!

Credits to shiosaki for teaching me how to do the projection for this panorama and any mistakes are down to my lack of skill. I am definitely not satisfied as I know where the mistakes are and I scanned the image for mistakes. But at this point, I have to admit that this is the best i can manage, having spent half a day working on this. Will try my best to refine the mistakes in future renditions.

The sunset on Friday at Clementi. The JPEG files on Fujifilm X system are so good, I don't usually process from RAW but this time I process from RAW and then stitch.

Saw the sky near sunset timing and I thought it could turn good and after days of dismal sunset I was treated to an epic sky!

A jinxed location for me, whenever i am here, the sunrise sucks. No different this time. This was the best i can manage with the sky that morning.

Met some tourists while shooting there and they were totally in awe of the scene. To hear them gasp and stood there to take in the scene, I felt so proud to be a Singaporean and can come to this spot with relative ease to shoot this scene.
